325,000 Police Officers Just Sent Nike a Bold Message They’ll NEVER Forget

Nike’s new ad campaign for “Just Do It” that uses Colin Kaepernick as their social justice warrior and the new face of their brand is getting massive blowback and rightly so. They seem to have forgotten who truly sacrifices in this country and it isn’t those such as Kaepernick. The ad campaign is a slap in the face to police, military, and first responders.

Gino Fisanotti, Nike’s vice president of brand marketing for North America, told ESPN, “We believe Colin is one of the most inspirational athletes of this generation, who has leveraged the power of sport to help move the world forward.” The tone deafness here is stunning.

Now, the Fraternal Order of Police is stepping forward and speaking out against Nike’s 30th-anniversary ad campaign. The FOP has over 325,000 officers with over 2,100 chapters across the country. So, that’s a pretty loud voice.

Chuck Canterbury, who is the national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, even went so far as to defend Kaepernick and Nike’s right to do as they please regarding freedom of expression. Immediately following that, however, he made it abundantly clear what police think of that expression in a formal statement.

From the FOP:

“Colin Kaepernick and all Americans have the constitutional right to freely express their views, even if they are uninformed and inflammatory. Indeed, law enforcement officers have an obligation to defend these rights and we do so every day, even in those cases when the views expressed are hostile, hateful or offensive to the men and women of law enforcement.

“The Fraternal Order of Police has been called upon to boycott Nike for capitalizing on this former professional football player because he attracts controversy. In our experience, boycotts and similar exercises do not succeed and often serve only to enrich the company—which is not what we want to do. Our members and, for that matter, any American citizen, understands when the law enforcement profession is being insulted—we have no doubt they will make their purchases with that insult in mind.

“If Nike chooses to create an ad campaign featuring a former quarterback who describes cops as ‘pigs’ and makes large donations to the family of a convicted cop killer and wanted fugitive, Joanne Chesimard, who murdered New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in cold blood in 1973, they are free to do so.

“Since 2016, 381 officers have been killed in the line of duty. They believed in something and sacrificed everything, as did the families they left behind. All of the men and women in law enforcement believe in something and are prepared to sacrifice everything.

“Ultimately, this ad campaign will end and our nation will no longer associate ‘sacrifice’ and ‘sneakers.’ Instead, we will once again associate ‘sacrifice’ with our fellow Americans in our military and police departments who stand in harm’s way to protect the rest of us and our right to express ourselves.”

In August of 2016, Kaepernick told Steve Wyche of NFL Media, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Nike’s Kaepernick ad features his face with the slogan, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

Kaepernick has sacrificed nothing and has made millions throwing a ball around. He makes even more money by supporting communists and radical groups. There is nothing noble or admirable about Colin Kaepernick.

Police put everything on the line for us daily and many of them give up their lives doing their duty to serve and protect. The ad also insults the service and sacrifice of our veterans. The FOP may not boycott Nike, but I certainly will and so will many Americans over this.

This deal with Nike will make Kaepernick millions and he will become even more famous. This is a guy that supports cop killers like Joanne Chesimard and radical groups such as Black Lives Matter. He wears shirts that sport Che and talks about racial oppression and social justice… but I have yet to see that he has sacrificed anything of merit yet.

The response against Nike over this has been thunderous. But hey, at least Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad supports Kaepernick, “The #NFL season will start this week, unfortunately once again @Kaepernick7 is not on a NFL roster. Even though he is one of the best Quarterbacks in the league.#ColinKaepernick #NFL.” One wonders if Mahmoud even watches football because it sure doesn’t sound like it, but I bet he wears Nike.

Gillette Just Rolled Unbelievable Ad That Puts Nike To Total Shame – Spread This EVERYWHERE

Nike thought the knew exactly what they were doing with putting the controversial face of divisiveness and hate at the center of their new ad campaign. Colin Kaepernick and the sports brand sure got a lot of attention for this bold, which wasn’t well received by patriotic people in this country.

While boycotts and bans of the brand still continue on into this week, another big product name has blown them out of the water and put them to total shame. Shaving blade maker, Gillette, has just debuted their new ad which features a certain, still employed, football player with an incredible message.

This is positive public relations work and a commercial that conservatives can and will get behind. Americans want companies who show respect for our nation, appreciation for people, and doesn’t get political with an aim do divide. Gillette just did that in an incredible way that everyone must see.

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by trustworthy news outlet, Western Journal:

While Nike was drawing massive attention for its Kaepernick ad, another major company released an ad talking about the adversity another NFL player really has overcome, and sends a much more positive message than disrespecting law enforcement.

Gillette, which makes shaving blades, released an ad touting the amazing story of one-handed Seattle Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin. The ad shows a one-handed Griffin — who got a mention in the Kaepernick ad that lasted barely three seconds — growing up and trying to keep pace with his older brother Shaquill (who also plays for the Seahawks.)

“Your best never comes easy,” the ad reads. The ad shows Shaquem never making an excuses or whining about the disadvantage of playing without a hand. Gillette also released a follow-up video showcasing the family affair that Shaquem’s career turned out to be.

Now, Griffin may not have had to sacrifice anything per se, but the ad is a heck of a lot more uplifting and powerful than Nike’s with Kaepernick.

Good for Gillette. This ad deserved to get much more coverage than it did.

It isn’t focusing on nonsensical culture wars. It isn’t giving tacit approval to disparaging police officers or the country. It focuses on family, incredible work ethic and never making excuses.

And we all could use more of that.

Nike made all sorts of headlines in recent weeks when it chose to use the controversial Colin Kaepernick as the face of its 30th anniversary ads.

Kaepernick critics were not thrilled for a multitude of reasons. After all, Kaepernick was the man who sparked the NFL’s current tumult of national anthem protests, an act that many Americans find disrespectful to the men and women who protect and serve this country.

There’s also the little fact that Kaepernick has previously worn socks that depicted police officers as pigs. He also wore a shirt glorifying former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Not exactly an uplifting message.

Then Nike gives America an ad that looks like this:

“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything,” the ad reads.

A television ad also debuted during the NFL’s opening weekend.

“So don’t ask if your dreams are crazy, ask if your dreams are crazy enough,” Kaepernick says in the television ad.

Unsurprisingly, the ad campaign was hotly divisive. Kaepernick fans were obviously thrilled that he was being thrust back into the national limelight.

But perhaps most importantly of all, Kaepernick supporters, and even some neutral observers, have been forced to answer the question of what exactly Kaepernick has sacrificed.

His NFL career? People seem quick to forget that Kaepernick willingly opted out of his San Francisco 49ers contract after the 2016 NFL season — when he’d lost his starting QB job anyway. He was also offered at least one contract, by the Denver Broncos, which he also declined, according to USA Today. It’s not exactly a sacrifice if Kaepernick is willingly staying away from the NFL.

His money? Nope. Nike’s new deal with Kaepernick is reportedly worth millions. That’s not bad for an athlete who hasn’t actually played meaningful competitive football is over a year.

Fame? Again, say what you will about Kaepernick, but he’s undoubtedly a much more visible and public figure since beginning his social activism campaign. He’s also not exactly fading into the sunset.

So again, what exactly is Kaepernick sacrificing other than some time to shoot those Nike ads? The clear answer seems to be “not much.”

MASSIVE Sign Went Up Outside Major NFL Stadium That Has All Disrespectful Players Panicking

The new season for the National Football League has just begun and one major stadium is already preparing. Although the league has announced that this coming season will be much different than the disastrous last one after imposing a new rule about kneeling, fans feel that it’s too late and are taking matters into their own hands to send a bold message.

If the unprecedented NFL boycott last season didn’t send disrespectful players a big enough message, then this warning sign that just went up probably will.  Fans in Green Bay, Wisconsin are passionate about their Packers and the sport but many gave up their support after kneeling took over the game and went unpunished by top NFL executives. They’re hoping for something different this season, but aren’t taking any chances.

An impressive banner was created to get the blunt message out early and has just gone up right across the street from Lambeau Field in Green Bay along a home’s private fence that faces the stadium.

The warning is clear and simple and well-played with the play on how “pack” was used for Packers. The proud American(s) who put this up love their country more than their team and will pick respecting the flag over players any day. The message is also a reference to President Trump’s suggestion about kicking players out of America for disrespecting the country on the field.

Packers fans have a team they can be proud of which starts with their incredible coach who ensured his players aren’t like others in the league. They hope it stays that way, which is why the warning sign went up, considering that there will be some new players on the team this coming season. However, Coach Mike McCarthy isn’t going to let it slide any more than Packers fans.

Green Bay Packers and Coach Mike McCarthy has a much different approach to these disgusting protests than others in the league.

McCarthy doesn’t seem to agree with the Commissioner’s original apologetic approach and has something else planned for these anti-American stars who think they are going to get away with protesting on his field. They are paid millions to play a game – not make negative political statements.

Madison.com reports:

Mike McCarthy doesn’t know if anyone on his sideline will join the ranks of NFL players using the national anthem as an opportunity to protest.

But if they do, the Green Bay Packers coach can say this for certain: They will do so with a knowledge of the history of the anthem and an understanding of how important he believes it is.

Last season, the coach was asked what he expects from his team when the anthem is played before each game. Rather than giving a politically correct answer of everyone having a right to free speech and to express how they somehow feel oppressed while making millions playing a game, he explained that he expects patriotism and good sportsmanship.

More importantly, McCarthy has taken it upon himself to educate his players on why we stand for the anthem since ignorance is why most of the idiotic athletes are sitting or kneeling on the sidelines. He’s putting knowledge of the real history of this nation on the field to stop players from making fools of themselves with protests.

When entitled, disrespectful players from other teams show up to his field, they are going to see what real men who respect this nation look like. In turn, those sitting out will look stupid in the shadows of the heroes standing for the anthem.

McCarthy said he addresses the anthem and his expectation of proper decorum during it with the players via a preseason presentation. 

“It’s something that I’ve done each and every year here since I’ve been the head coach,” McCarthy said. “We have a PowerPoint presentation that you update (each year), and you always try to deliver the message clearly to the team.

“Our approach has always been to give the history and the understanding of what the national anthem means, and why it’s played before any National Football League game, particularly how (the tradition) started after World War II. I go through the whole history and the importance of what it means to you personally.”

This is the exact stance that every coach of every team should take since the NFL Commissioner refused to prioritize patriotism over the sport.

The Dallas Cowboys head coach, Jason Garrett, recently came out with the same stance as McCarthy, saying that the National Anthem is “sacred” and he expects his team to stand.

The Packers coach recognizes that the problem most of the players have is that they don’t understand what they think they are protesting by sitting out the anthem. That not only makes the player look stupid but is an embarrassment to the entire team and the NFL.

It’s nice to see two teams with their priorities straight and it’s a shame that so many other coaches and players in the NFL have tainted the reputation of the sport, leading to many spectators boycotting the season. Other teams should take note and run their operation like McCarthy and Garrett – with respect and honor for our flag and freedom and the real heroes who gave their life defending both.
