Barack Caught In Secret Offering $150K In ‘Hush Money’ But All Attention Is On Trump

Published

on

Well, look at what we have here…

As Robert Mueller and his “special counsel” of Democrat Party operatives investigation appear to be focusing on President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen’s payments to two women during the 2016 campaign, it seems former President Barack Hussein Obama was no stranger to paying people “hush money.”

Chicago pastor Jeremiah Wright, the same pastor of the church where Obama sat for 20 years and who even married Barack and Michelle Obama in addition to being coined by the former president as a “mentor” revealed in a 2012 interview with the New York Post that one of Obama’s “closest friends” actually offered him $150,000 if he would not preach until after the 2008 November election after Fox News host Sean Hannity discovered excerpts of Wright’s rabid anti-America, anti-Semitic and racist sermons had become an issue during the campaign. An issue which threatened the Obama campaign’s effort to bury or spin the candidate’s far-left upbringing and political activism.

Yes, folks, Barack Hussein Obama and Michele Obama sat through sermons like the one above for over 20 years. And he was still elected President of the greatest nation in the world, twice!

Here is more via PJ Media:

Yesterday’s news that President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in federal court and accused Trump of committing a federal crime by directing him to pay hush money to two women “for the principal purpose of influencing the election” was definitely shocking. According to Cohen and his attorney, Trump violated campaign finance laws by allegedly directing Cohen to make these hush money payments. This point had me confused.

For the moment, let’s put aside the obvious problems with Cohen’s credibility and assume he’s telling the truth. According to a Reuters article about the Cohen pleas:

Under U.S. election law, campaign contributions, defined as things of value given to a campaign to influence an election, must be disclosed. A payment intended to silence allegations of an affair just before an election could constitute a campaign contribution, which is limited to $2,700 per person per election, some experts said.

So, let’s review… A payment to silence someone from making potentially damaging statements “could constitute” a campaign contribution according to “some” experts? There’s clearly a significant amount of subjectivity here. But, here’s the thing: if everything went down as Cohen says it did, then why wasn’t Obama held to the same standard?

That’s right, Barack Obama also offered an individual hush money “for the principal purpose of influencing the election,” but you probably never heard about it. It wasn’t to silence a mistress though, it was to silence his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Wright’s inflammatory, anti-American rhetoric caused Obama significant headaches during his first presidential campaign, and he tried to contain the damage to protect his chances of winning the White House.

Edward Klein broke the story in the New York Post on May 13, 2012—the same year Obama was reelected—that Obama’s team tried to buy Wright’s silence during the 2008 campaign. According to Wright, he was offered $150,000 through an Obama intermediary (one of Obama’s closest friends), and Obama himself tried to persuade him to keep quiet.

“Did Obama himself ever make an effort to see you?”

“Yes,” Wright said. “Barack said he wanted to meet me in secret, in a secure place. And I said, ‘You’re used to coming to my home, you’ve been here countless times, so what’s wrong with coming to my home?’ So we met in the living room of the parsonage of Trinity United Church of Christ, at South Pleasant Avenue right off 95th Street, just Barack and me. I don’t know if he had a wire on him. His security was outside somewhere.

“And one of the first things Barack said was, ‘I really wish you wouldn’t do any more public speaking until after the November election.’ He knew I had some speaking engagements lined up, and he said, ‘I wish you wouldn’t speak. It’s gonna hurt the campaign if you do that.’

So, here we have Barack Obama wanting to meet in a “secret” and “secure” location, and then urging Wright to keep quiet for the sake of his presidential campaign, and an offer of $150,000 in hush money from a close Obama friend, and likely a campaign donor as well. Wright didn’t accept the hush money, but by his account, Obama is guilty of everything Trump is being accused of.

And yet no one cared. Outside of conservative media and blogs, the story was dismissed or downplayed by those who deigned to cover it. This was during an election year, no less. The allegations against Trump by his former lawyer are as serious as the allegations made against Obama by his former pastor. If Obama’s actions weren’t worthy of a federal investigation, then neither are Trump’s. Either both men violated the law, or both men didn’t. Which is it? If the former, Obama should be investigated—better late than never, after all.

It never ceases to amaze me how serious accusations against Barack Obama often failed to spark much controversy because the media either refused to cover it or pushed the Obama White House talking points on the matter. Sadly, Obama offering hush money to Wright is probably the least serious thing he did to “influence an election.” There are many examples of obstruction of justice, manipulating intelligence, and outright lying to the American public with the sole purpose of protecting Obama’s chances of reelection 2012, or to influence the 2014 midterms. When the Obama campaign was fined $375,000 by the FEC for concealing donations, no one called for impeachment.

There shouldn’t be one set of rules for Republicans and another set of rules for Democrats. Cohen may just be trying to score a big payday by going after Trump, but I’m tired of the double standards and hypocrisy of Trump’s enemies.”

Yes, just like the article above points out. Obama tried to buy the silence of his pastor of 20 years and no one cared. The mainstream media didn’t say a word, the Republicans didn’t say a word, there were no investigations and no one cared. But President Trump’s personal lawyer allegedly pays off two women who had affairs with the president over a decade ago and all hell breaks loose.

This double standard needs to stop. These women only prove that President Trump isn’t a very good husband, Pastor Wright proved Obama had a severe disdain for this country, one that was clearly seen by anyone who didn’t drink the Koolaid in 2008.

Police are hunting for a Hispanic woman who was caught on camera choking the manager of a McDonald’s in Orange County, California.

The woman went to the back door of the fast food restaurant asking for ketchup. After the store manager told the woman she was not allowed in the area, the woman grew “combative” and attacked the store manager. The woman “pushed, punched, and choked” the manager, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

The video, taken on Oct. 27 and posted Tuesday, shows a woman in a pink shirt pushing the manager around the restaurant’s kitchen area, slamming the victim into a computer, coffee pot and wall.

A store employee attempted to separate the assailant from the store manager, broke away from the action for a moment to hand something to a customer at the drive-thru window and returned to help the manager.

The woman eventually broke off the fight after a man walked in from the back of the restaurant and walked her out.

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by Washington Times:

Anti-Trump attorney Michael Avenatti was reportedly arrested on charges of felony domestic violence that seriously injured his estranged wife.

According to a report in TMZ, the lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels and one of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s less-credible accusers was taken into custody Wednesday after a confrontation “at an exclusive apartment building in the Century City area of L.A.”

The celebrity-news site said the reported attack by Mr. Avenatti took place Tuesday though.

Hollywood Reporter has more on this story

Michael Avenatti was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence on Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

A report for the alleged abuse was filed Tuesday, a Los Angeles police spokesman said.

Avenatti is Stormy Daniels’ attorney. He has made a name for himself by going after President Trump and his White House.

Avenatti is awaiting booking, police said. It is unclear at which L.A. station he will be processed.

The lawyer, who rose to fame as the attorney for Stormy Daniels (nee Stephanie Clifford) in her defamation lawsuit against President Trump, has emerged as a vocal and harsh critic of the president in seemingly ubiquitous appearances on cable news, in fiery tweets and in public appearances. “There’s only one way that these tweets and this behavior and this conduct and this misogyny is going to end, and it’s only going to end if you displace Donald Trump from the presidency of the United States,” the lawyer said recently at Politicon.

Avenatti has recently been hinting at a 2020 bid for the U.S. presidency, recently visiting states including Iowa, Ohio, Florida, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Illinois. He’s also been engaging with potential supporters in Hollywood: “A number of people have stepped forward and said that they would do whatever I needed in the way of financial support, as well as introductions, hosting events, things of that nature,” Avenatti told The Hollywood Reporter in August.

Since he began suggesting he would run for president, Avenatti has come under intense scrutiny for financial decisions. A report by The Daily Beast said that former companies owned by the lawyer owed millions in unpaid taxes and judgments. He was also ordered in October to pay $4.85 million to an attorney at a former law firm as part of a lawsuit over back pay.
