BREAKING: Trump Just Responded To Nike And Surprises Everyone

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by The Daily Caller:

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Nike sent a “terrible message” this week by making former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick one of the faces representing the 30th anniversary of the company’s “Just Do It” campaign. But he also said the company’s ability to make its own business decisions “is what this country is all about.”

“I think it’s a terrible message. Nike is a tenant of mine. They pay a lot of rent,” Trump said, referring to Niketown New York, which is — for now — located at 6 East 57th Street in New York City.

The president made the remarks during an exclusive Oval Office interview with The Daily Caller Tuesday afternoon.

Kaepernick kicked off a protest movement among some NFL players during the 2016 pre-season when he began kneeling at games during the national anthem, rather than standing.

Kaepernick, who now alleges that league owners are colluding to keep him off an NFL roster, explained the rationale behind his protest in August of that year: “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

President Trump has been staunchly and vocally opposed to players protesting during the anthem, tweeting in September 2017, for instance, “The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!”

On Monday afternoon, Kaepernick tweeted an image from Nike’s campaign, with the words, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” written across the athlete’s face.

Trump added Tuesday that “there’s no reason” for the famous sports apparel company to tap Kaepernick for the campaign.

“But I think it’s a terrible message that they’re sending and the purpose of them doing it, maybe there’s a reason for them doing it,” Trump mused, “but I think as far as sending a message, I think it’s a terrible message and a message that shouldn’t be sent. There’s no reason for it.”

Despite that, Trump acknowledged that it’s Nike’s right to make its own business decisions.

“As much as I disagree with the Colin Kaepernick endorsement, in another way — I mean, I wouldn’t have done it,” Trump said.

“In another way, it is what this country is all about, that you have certain freedoms to do things that other people think you shouldn’t do, but I personally am on a different side of it.”

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by Chicks On The Right:

Michael Avenatti was arrested on charges of domestic violence last night. He’s out on bail and held a brief press conference, in which he promised that he would be “fully exonerated.”

According to TMZ:

We’re told Wednesday afternoon the woman was on the sidewalk on her cellphone with sunglasses covering her eyes, sobbing and screaming on the phone, “I can’t believe you did this to me. I’m going to get a restraining order against you.”

We’re told security brought her inside the building, took her upstairs and Michael showed up 5 minutes later and ran into the building. He screamed repeatedly, “She hit me first.” We’re told he angrily added, “This is bulls***, this is f***ing bulls***.” We’re told he tried getting into the elevator but security denied him access.

Cops showed up and escorted Avenatti into a corner of the apartment lobby and spoke with him for 5 to 10 minutes and then took him into custody.

But LISTEN. He is innocent! NOTHING HAPPENED PLZ DISPERSE!

He’s a decent man. Please ignore the fact that his mere existence proves otherwise.

In order to prove that he’s a decent man, he shared statements from his ex-wives.

That’s fine and dandy and all, but neither of his ex-wives are the alleged victims here, so their statements are virtually irrelevant to me.

Sorry, but I think we should treat Avenatti the same way he treated Kavanaugh. Guilty until proven innocent!

Also, you don’t just randomly get arrested on a domestic violence charge. He posted $50,000 bail. SOMETHING happened.

California Just Hit With A NEW Wave Of Deadly Attack – Not Fires

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by: Daily Caller

A norovirus outbreak is sweeping through a shelter for wildfire victims in Northern California, potentially causing diarrhea, fever and body aches in anyone who is infected, The Associated Press reports.

The norovirus is highly contagious and has prompted shelter workers to quarantine infected residents separate from others in the shelter. Staff cleaned the shelter with bleach Wednesday, according to the AP.

The victims of the virus are likely people displaced by the Camp Fire, the most deadly fire in state history after killing at least 56 people. The Camp Fire has wiped out more than 9,000 houses and commercial buildings. It had burned 140,000 acres and was 40 percent contained by Thursday morning, according to the state fire agency Cal Fire.

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Brock Long met with Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown and emergency officials in California Wednesday. The Trump administration officials surveyed the wreckage of the Camp Fire, especially around Paradise, a town of about 27,000 that was 95 percent destroyed by the Camp Fire.

“Every time I come to California I say this is the worst fire I’ve seen. Once again this is the absolute worst,” Zinke said in Wednesday tweet. “Worse than any war zone I saw in Iraq. The heroism of firefighters is amazing.”

“We’ll be here for several years working this disaster,” Long said at a press conference after surveying Paradise, according to NBC News.

“The infrastructure is basically a total rebuild at this point,” Long said. “You’re not going to be able to rebuild Paradise the way it was.”

The Woolsey Fire, a major fire burning in Southern California, has consumed another 98,000 acres and was 57 percent contained by Thursday morning. It has killed at least two people and razed 600 structures, according to Cal Fire.
