Melania Fired Them ALL! ‘That Is Not Acceptable Here – I Won’t Allow It!’

Published

on

First lady Melania Trump just sent them all packing! She released multiple people from their positions as she would not allow taxpayers to be ripped off for jobs that were simply not needed – quite contrary to the former first lady, Michelle Obama. While Melania Trump takes on bigger roles and a more active schedule, she has proven herself to spend a lot less than what Obama did. This news comes about as Melania Trump runs one of the lightest East Wings in recent history.

Michelle Obama was reported to have 16 people working under her, being paid a combined $1.24 million. Melania Trump’s staff is only four people who earn a combined $486,700, much less in comparison to Obama. Knowing that Melania Trump refuses to hire 12 extra people to do jobs that can be handled by herself and four others is a wonderful bit of information as it reduces wasteful spending of the taxpayer money.

Not carrying the extra staff for jobs that can be handled by fewer people is a step in the right direction towards reducing the amount of money spent by the administration and shows that Melania cares to be mindful in her position as the first lady. That’s an enjoyable quality for a first lady to have as it spreads a message about being responsible and not overspending.

Fox News reported more on Melania’s smaller staff: “The details are contained in an annual report the White House sends to Congress showing the names, positions and salaries of all its personnel. Both the Obama and Trump administrations acknowledged several additional staffers beyond those listed in the report with the term “first lady” in their titles. But even counting all those employees — 24 for Michelle Obama and nine for the current first lady — Melania Trump’s office is relatively small.

It’s an approach her spokeswoman says is intentional.

“As with all things that she does, she is being very deliberate in her hiring, focusing on quality over quantity,” communications director Stephanie Grisham said in an email. “It is important to her that the team is a good fit for what she wants to accomplish as first lady, and that everyone works well together. She also wants to be mindful and responsible when it comes to taxpayer money.”

While the 2009 annual report listed 16 staffers for Michelle Obama, her press secretary said at the time the staff actually included 24 people. A 2009 FactCheck.org story said Obama’s 24 aides might have broken records.

“That may indeed be the largest of any first lady, but Hillary Clinton, with 19 staffers, and Laura Bush with at least 18 and perhaps more, weren’t far behind,” FactCheck.org said.

Grisham told Fox News this week there are nine people working in the East Wing under Melania Trump, a few more than listed in the annual report.

According to those personnel reports, Melania Trump’s staffers include a chief of staff, a communications director, a deputy chief of staff and a deputy director of advance.

Michelle Obama’s staff included those same positions and a slew of others: additional press aides, a director of policy and projects, a personal aide, a traveling aide and a director of correspondence.

Michelle Obama’s office did not return a request for comment.”

Melania and Donald Trump will surely be criticized for this one way or another. The critics will say that Melania fired people instead of being resourceful and saving money for the White House and their Presidency. While every President and first lady face critics, there has surely been an insufferable and increased amount of criticism has been levied towards the Trump family, with even Barron facing his own fierce barrage of harsh commentary from spiteful people who dislike the Trump family living in the White House.

Donald and Melania work through the criticism, doing things to make many Americans in hopes that they’re constantly doing right by the citizens. They will always face criticism from those who oppose their leadership, even though Trump won the Presidency in a fair election well over one year ago.

What do you think of Melania having a smaller staff? Is she saving money for taxpayers? Is it a smart move for her to be more resourceful in her spending?

Will Michelle Obama respond to Fox News to talk about why she had so many people working under her?

Trump’s Had It! Warns The Media And Staff He’s LEAVING

President Donald Trump warned the White House press corps that he and his administration officials would leave press availabilities if they felt they were being disrespected, in a Friday appearance in the Oval Office.

Trump’s answer came shortly after his administration lost an effort to continue barring CNN reporter Jim Acosta from the White House. Judge Timothy J. Kelly issued an injunction Friday morning ordering the White House to reinstate Acosta’s credentials, saying his Fifth Amendment right to due process was violated. Acosta’s credentials were then re-instated Friday morning.

The White House revoked Acosta’s credentials last week claiming that he laid hands on an intern after refusing to surrender the microphone during a press conference.

Trump warned that despite the loss the White House is “writing up the rules and regulations” and “if they don’t listen to the rules and regulations we are going to be back in court and win.”

The president continued, “we always have the option of just leaving. If we feel that things aren’t being treated properly or people being treated properly, we always have the right to leave. I have instructed my people, when they are not being treated properly, you have the right to leave any time that you want.”

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by The Daily Caller:

Republican Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch received the medal of freedom from President Donald Trump Friday afternoon, as he is the longest-serving member of the U.S. Senate.

At a medal of freedom ceremony at the White House, Hatch, the current Senate pro tempore, received praise from Trump for his work in rewriting the tax code and for helping “hard-working Americans get through life.” Trump also brought up Hatch’s work “reshaping” federal courts as well as protecting religious freedom, according to Deseret News.

Hatch announced in January 2018 he was retiring, after serving four decades in the Senate.

There were six other people who received the medal of freedom in Friday’s ceremony, including former Minnesota Supreme Court judge and NFL star Alan Page, Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys quarterbackRoger Staubach, American singer and actor Elvis Presley, departed Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, former MLB star Babe Ruth and American philanthropist Miriam Adelson.

CBS News has more on the story:

President Trump awarded seven people the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Friday.

Miriam Adelson is among seven people Mr. Trump is recognizing with the medal, the highest honor America can give a civilian. She is a doctor, philanthropist and humanitarian, but is perhaps best known as the wife of Sheldon Adelson, a Las Vegas casino magnate considered one of the nation’s most powerful Republican donors.

The other recipients include retiring Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, one of the longest-serving senators in U.S. history; Alan Page, who was elected to the Minnesota Supreme Court after an NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears; and Roger Staubach, the Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys quarterback and staunch Republican.

“He liked me right from the beginning and therefore I like him,” Mr. Trump said about Hatch during the ceremony.

Posthumous honors are being granted to Elvis Presley, Babe Ruth and Antonin Scalia, the conservative Supreme Court justice. Mr. Trump has often praised Scalia and has made good on his promise to nominate judges “very much in the mold of Justice Scalia” in the Supreme Court. The admiration was apparently mutual, according to Scalia’s literary collaborator Bryan Garner. According to Garner’s memoir, Scalia “thought it was most refreshing to have a candidate who was pretty much unfiltered and utterly frank.”

Mr. Trump noted that Scalia and his wife, who was accepting the medal on her husband’s behalf, had nine children. “You were very busy. Wow. I always knew I liked him,” Mr. Trump said.

Notable guests at the event included several members of the Supreme Court, including Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a close friend of Scalia’s, who is recovering from a fall last week. Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, Elena Kagan, and John Roberts were also in attendance. Mr. Trump also noted the presence of Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who represents Page’s home state.

The Adelsons gave Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign a $30 million boost in the final months of the 2016 race. The couple followed up this election cycle by donating $100 million to the Republican Party for last week’s midterms.

Miriam Adelson, 73, is an Israeli-born, naturalized U.S. citizen who earned a medical degree from Tel Aviv University and founded a pair of drug abuse treatment and research centers in Las Vegas and Tel Aviv. She and her husband own the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Israel Hayom newspapers, which often stake out pro-Trump positions.

The Adelsons are also avid supporters of Israel. Their passion for strengthening the country, along with Israel-U.S. relations, has helped keep such policy priorities as relocating the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem front and center in the Republican Party and the Trump administration.

Mr. Trump moved the embassy in May, and Sheldon Adelson, who had offered to personally fund the move, was seated in the front row for the ceremony.

Robert Weissman, president of public interest group Public Citizen, said it was difficult to believe the decision to recognize Miriam Adelson was based on merit.

“It’s emblematic of the corrupt and transactional presidency of Donald Trump, and it is a shame, but not a surprise, that he is corroding and corrupting a civic treasure, an honor like the Medal of Freedom,” Weissman said.

Lindsay Walters, a White House spokeswoman, said Mr. Trump used the process that previous administrations have followed to settle on his group of honorees. The process was coordinated by the office of the staff secretary, taking into account recommendations from the public, relevant presidential advisory bodies, the Cabinet and senior White House staff, she said.

The award is given to individuals “who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

Miriam Adelson said she is “deeply humbled and moved by this exceptional honor.”

“Liberty is at the heart of my decades of work against substance abuse. Drug dependency is enslavement, for the user and his or her family and society, and treatment an emancipation,” she said in a statement released Thursday by Las Vegas Sands Corp., a company owned by Sheldon Adelson that operates hotels and casinos around the world. “Together, my husband, Sheldon, and I have dedicated our lives to freedom: to a free market that benefits the greater good and to philanthropic endeavors that succor those suffering from poverty and disease.”

E. Fletcher McClellan, a political science professor at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania, said there are no limitations on who can receive the presidential honor.

“He has total discretion as to who and when and how,” said McClellan, who has studied the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Christopher Devine, a politics professor at the University of Dayton, questioned Miriam Adelson’s impact on American culture or national interests as compared to past recipients like Oprah Winfrey or Bruce Springsteen. Both Winfrey and Springsteen received medals from President Barack Obama, whom they supported politically. Obama also awarded the medal to his vice president, Joe Biden, in 2017.

“This is what leaves many people wondering whether President Trump singled her out for an award as something of a thank-you for her and husband Sheldon Adelson’s very substantial donations to Republican candidates and causes over the years, including ones in support of Trump’s election in 2016,” said Devine, who wrote a book about the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Devine said that while Miriam Adelson isn’t the first campaign contributor to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the size of her campaign contributions sets her apart from the rest.
