Cowboys Owner Gets Bad News From NFL After Vowing That His Team Will Stand For Anthem

What kind of league is this?

The Dallas Cowboys did something that had America-loving football fans very happy when Jerry Jones stated that his players must stand for the national anthem. That came when Jones stated “Our policy is you stand during the anthem, toe on the line,” Jones said Wednesday during a team press conference.”

People have been taking a knee since before the 2016 season, causing a massive national debate and apparently a decline in ratings for the NFL in general. The debate has one side saying the protests are disrespectful to the country, abuse the platform of being a millionaire athlete, and have nothing to do with the game in general. Others felt the protest during the game was acceptable and a form of fighting racial injustice and police brutality. This controversy has reached all parts of the country such as the president’s office and many fans hope this year finally puts the protests to the side so players and fans can focus on football again.

The NFL’s new policy suggests that players are to stand or stay in the locker room during the national anthem. Isn’t staying in the locker room the same thing as taking a knee? Visually there won’t be any publicity for the player, but we can only assume the camera will be certainly panning over the team and people will take note of any player who isn’t present.

While this happens on the side, it was Jerry Jones who then faced another controversy of his own when the NFL told him to stop talking about the national anthem. After all the controversy surrounding protests during the song and game in general, not to mention the money that teams potentially lost due to fans turning their backs on one of their favorite American sports, it was the Cowboys Jerry Jones that later got some bad news. It was great news to the fans who were tired of their beloved football being tainted by protests and social justice, but now it’s Jones who’s getting the proverbial slap on the wrist from the big wigs upstairs in the main office.

It appears as though Jerry Jones’ “stand” on the national anthem has ticked someone off in the higher offices and now the NFL has reportedly instructed Jones to stop talking about the national anthem. How did we go from allowing the players to abuse their platform on the field, possibly causing all that loss of revenue and putting a bad taste in the mouth of fans to this? Now the NFL is telling owners what they can and cannot talk about? Sounds quite odd, right?

“Four days after seemingly defying the NFL and letting the world know about his team’s zero-tolerance policy regarding standing for the national anthem, Jones is now not talking about the issue because he has been told not to by the league.

Jones informed several local television stations who had booked him for interviews on their Sunday night show from training camp in Oxnard, Calif., that questions about the national anthem and his team’s policy were not permitted because the NFL had told him to stop speaking on the matter.

It prompted Fox 4’s Mike Doocy to cancel his interview with Jones.

Mike Doocy goes into details about the inability for Jerry Jones to discuss the national anthem and had to cancel the interview. It seems as though he canceled the interview out of respect for the fans and those who wish to hear what Jones says about the national anthem. Doocy didn’t want to do the interview when the NFL appeared to block any conversation about a major topic that fans would want to hear about.

Doocy states that Jones was usually readily available. Doocy says he’s often been criticized by being too fair. Now Doocy is telling people he won’t bother with an interview if he can’t do it the right way.

Major Network Announces They’re Refusing To Air Anthem Before NFL Games – BAD Idea

Fans want to be entertained with a great game but don’t want to be subjected to politics

With football season fast approaching the eternal debate over whether or not it is acceptable to sit or kneel during the national anthem is alive and well again. President Trump, sports commentators, athletes and coaches alike are chiming in and giving their two cents. Now, a major network announced that they are refusing to air the anthem altogether right before any and all National Football League games. Perhaps a very bad idea because the unintended consequence will be record low ratings. Those decisions and choices never end well.

100 Percent Fed Up reported,

“As if we need another reason NOT to watch NFL football, ESPN just gave us another one. ESPN just announced that they will not show the national anthem during “Monday Night Football” broadcasts this year, the company’s president said on Friday. Jimmy Pitaro addressed the controversy at ESPN’s annual football media day: “We generally have not broadcasted the anthem and I don’t think that will change this year,” he said. “Our plan going into this year is to not broadcast the anthem … again that could change. It’s unpredictable what could happen in the world but as of now, we’re not. We have communicated that back to the NFL.” ESPN had already been going the way of the mainstream media with their support of the left’s agenda so this is not a huge surprise. When Jemele Hill trashed President Trump over and over but ESPN finally gave her a slap on the wrist, you knew it was a full-on entity of the leftist media and no longer just a sports news network.

Go figure, The NFL and ESPN continue to shoot themselves in the foot by being so outspoken on politics. Fans want to be entertained with a great game but don’t want to be subjected to politics and anti-Americanism. What doesn’t the management get about what the fans want? Are they that out of touch or are they afraid of their players? Ratings have tanked and will tank even further this year after there has been no change in the pre-game anthem behavior of the spoiled brat multi-millionaire football players.

And so it goes…football fans across America will enjoy spending more time doing other things on the days they used to watch or attend a game. All we have to say to the NFL (Rodger Goodell we’re talking to you) is good luck paying those players the big bucks when you have empty stadiums and no viewers… Football legend Lou Holtz recently weighed in on the anthem controversy: Legendary football coach Lou Holtz just dropped a ton of common sense on the NFL’s national anthem debate after President Trump tweeted about it to say the NFL players should be punished for kneeling: Lou Holtz: “I have never attended a football game that did not have the national anthem before the game, it’s part of the sport.”

Pete Hegseth called out the NFL Commissioner on “caving” to the players by putting a hold on the new anthem policy that requires players on the field to stand for the anthem. He’s spot on! OUR PREVIOUS REPORT ON THE ANTHEM POLICY: The NFL players continue to dig their own grave to sink what was once a wildly popular sport that made millions for players. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! Did team owners finally get the message from American football fans? The team is claiming that, “all options are still open”. Breaking news tells us that in a report from the “proper anthem conduct,” the Miami Dolphins players could be suspended for protesting the national anthem even though the team says all options are open… Miami Dolphins players who protest on the field during the national anthem reportedly could be suspended for up to four games under a team policy issued this week.

ESPN reports: The “Proper Anthem Conduct” section is just one sentence in a nine-page discipline document provided to The Associated Press by a person familiar with the policy who insisted on anonymity because the document is not public. It classifies anthem protests under a long list of “conduct detrimental to the club,” all of which could lead to a paid or unpaid suspension, a fine, or both. Though Titans coach Mike Vrabel said in May that the organization and team owner support players’ decisions in regards to conducting protests during the national anthem, the team wants to talk to Jurrell Casey about his plans to protest social injustice.

In a statement, the Dolphins confirmed they sent the NFL the document, without offering specifics on what plans it laid out. “The NFL required each team to submit their rules regarding the anthem before their players reported to training camp,” the team said. “We will address this issue once the season starts. All options are still open.””

Anthem kneeling has remained a controversial issue for some time. It all began in August of 2016 when San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to start the protest. He and others argued it was protesting systematic oppression, inequality, and social injustice against African Americans in the United States. While some have supported the protests calling them politically urgent and patriotic, others have not. Those who disagree with them have called them disrespectful and unpatriotic to the military, police, and the American flag.

Other athletes from different sports have joined in from professions such as soccer, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, college, and high school. While political figures have weighed in as well. President Obama said that those kneeling were exercising their constitutional right and that he believed in their sincerity. While Supreme Court Justice Ruther Bader Ginsburg called it dumb and disrespectful. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee knelt on the floor of the House of Representatives and her colleague Representative Mark Pocan did the same exact thing the next day. Vice President Mike Pence left a game for the Indianapolis Colts after San Francisco 49ers players kneeled during the anthem.

Early this year in May the NFL commissioner, as well as the team owners, approved a new guideline and policy that requires all players in the NFL to stand during the anthem. If they choose not to then they have to remain in the locker room for the entire time and only come out for the performance. Now, it has been taken a step further and a network will not air when the national anthem is being played.

Loudmouth LaVar Ball Makes Nasty Announcement About Trump And His Supporters – BAD Move!

Apparently he forgot!

Published

President Trump is known to have detractors and those who wish him ill. It has almost become a competitive sport within the mainstream media as well as the athletic and entertainment industry. Which is why the comments of LaVar Ball, a former pro-National Football League, and National Basketball League player should not shock you one bit. But it should surely disgust you. Even if there are those who do not like the president, the least they can do is provide him basic respect and decency. However, all of that is missing in Ball’s recent comments.

Total Pro Sports reported,

“If there’s one person who knows all about the controversy surrounding the President, it’s LaVar Ball. The CEO of Big Baller Brand had an infamous run-in with the current President of the United States when his middle son got himself arrested for stealing in China. There just might be another run-in brewing. A few days ago, Trump tweeted that Don Lemon was the “Dumbest man on television” that made LeBron James look smart, which “was hard to do.” That brought about so much criticism in the days following, especially after the Los Angeles Lakers superstar had opened his new I Promise school. In a recent interview with TMZ, Ball outlined what some of the reasons were when asked whether Trump is racist.

“Do I think he’s racist? Yes, he’s racist. Everybody know that. Everybody knows that. That’s not a secret. It’s not a secret. If you’re bothering a lot of black folks, I’m going to say you’re racist. If you’re bothering a lot Hispanics, I’m going to say you’re racist. If you messing with everybody but whoever is not your kind, whoever is your kind you’re not messing with, I call you racist if you like that. That’s easy to spot out.”

Ball, a former athlete, is now a media personality and businessman with three sons who all play professional basketball. One for the Los Angeles Lakers, one who played on scholarship at UCLA, and one for the Los Angeles Ballers. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of his sports apparel company known as Big Baller Brand while he simultaneously founded the Junior Basketball Association (JBA).

However, in the past few years Ball has made media headlines all over the world for his controversial and outrageous statements. He claimed that one of his son’s Lonzo is better than world-renowned basketball player Stephen Curry. At the same time, he also alleged that he could beat Michael Jordan in a one-on-one basketball game. Since then he has received praise and criticism, and his remarks have led to television appearances which have received major attention from high profile sports media outlets.

But it was his problems with President Trump that has been getting him into hot water. Ball’s son was one of the UCLA students who was detained for shoplifting in a high-end shopping center in Shanghai, China. The players were accused by police of shoplifting high-end Louis Vuitton sunglasses at a store in the mall. After President Trump and his administration made a plea to the Chinese government to release them from their charges they were set free.

President Trump took to social media to say that the students were headed to jail and if it were not for his intervention they would still be there. Furthermore, that despite what he did for them he did not think they would say thank you. Ball tweeted back a response which insinuated that President Trump did nothing to help Ball’s son and teammates get out of Chinese prison. When Ball appeared on CNN with Chris Cuomo shortly thereafter he still refused to thank the president.

President Trump responded by calling Ball a poor man’s version of Don King and calling him an ungrateful fool. A short while later, Ball’s son and his teammates were suspended indefinitely even after their public thank you where they expressed gratitude to the president. Ball continued to double down, refusing to thank him even after some time had passed.

It is very clear that Ball is highly ungrateful. President Trump hit it right on the head, there is no doubt about it. Much like other Hollywood entertainers, politicians, and detractors who trash the president Ball’s bad move will likely lead to him getting the Trump curse. One where public figures trash the president and as a result lose their career, lose notoriety and all around lose the entire situation. Ball needs a training in manners and perhaps his fall from grace will be the life lesson he so desperately needs.
