Hispanic And Black Leaders Each Just Delivered Bold Message To Trump One-By-One

President Trump has a lot of support, and from people of all walks of life no less. Which is why it should not shock you when African American and Hispanic leaders recently came out in his defense to discuss what the president was doing on behalf of their people. At a recent roundtable to discuss policy issues related to spirituality and religion that had the opportunity to express exactly how they feel about the president.

The Daily Caller reported,

“This week, President Trump hosted urban pastors at the White House for a roundtable on religion. No networks covered the event, but the White House posted footage of the remarks on youtube afterward. Trump opened up the meeting by saying “Throughout our history, America’s churches and religious leaders have called for change and have inspired us to care for and bring hope back to those in need.” Trump then opened the floor to the mostly black or Hispanic pastors. The pastors praised Trump as a “friend” who has “empowered” Christians in the White House.

Pastor Darrell Scott, longtime member of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, called Trump “the most pro-black President that we’ve had in our lifetime.” Scott said, “This President actually wants to prove something to our community, our faith-based community and our ethnic community. The last president didn’t feel like he had to. He felt like he didn’t have to prove it. He got a pass. This president is — this administration is probably going to be more proactive regarding urban revitalization and prison reform than any president in your lifetime.” Dr. Alveda King, Martin Luther King’s niece, said she was honored to “pray right here in the White House.” King told Trump, “You’ve done so many things that were great… this administration will continue to make history. It’s going to be a lot of positive changes. Great things are on the horizon, I promise.”

The State reported,

“President Donald Trump met with religious leaders at the White House Wednesday. Those who sat, spoke and prayed with the president were black pastors from across the U.S., which the White House called Trump’s “Meeting with Inner City Pastors.” Among those who had an audience with the president was a pastor from South Carolina — John Gray, the head of Relentless Church in Greenville.

Gray previously was a pastor at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Texas. He also is the star of a reality TV show on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network which reports will resume shooting in Greenville. The megachurch pastor sat in the seat next to Trump, to his right, in the Cabinet Room. After a few opening statements and greetings from the president, he asked Gray to start the conversation with a prayer. “God, we thank you for an opportunity to speak about the hearts of those who sometimes cannot fight for themselves. Thank you for this moment to be able to share our hearts with the president and his administration,” Gray said, according to White House transcripts. “Dr. King said we cannot influence a table that we are not seated at. And so we pray that this conversation will be fruitful, and productive, and honoring of the best traditions of this nation.

“We further pray that you will continue to give wisdom and insight to our President and his leadership team to be what our nation needs, to build this country from the inside out, that we will continue to be a beacon of hope and light around this world.” Trump seemed to enjoy the prayer, and Gray’s delivery. Before beginning the conversation with the rest of the guests in the Cabinet Room, the president thanked Gray, and White House transcripts show he joked, “I think he’s done that before. What do you think?” Among the issues discussed between Trump and the religious leaders was the re-opening of steel mills, prison reform and opportunities for ex-convicts, urban issues, job growth for minorities the president’s leadership and, of course, faith.

As the conversation made its way around the table, the last person to speak was the man who delivered the opening prayer — Gray. And when given the opportunity to lead the discussion Gray wasted no time. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be at this table at a time in our country where faith is becoming a bit of a dinosaur. In a time of moral relativism and secular humanism, it is refreshing to know that those of us who have committed our lives to fighting for people who cannot fight for themselves have a seat at the table to share our hearts,” Gray said, per White House transcripts. Among those who Gray said he was fighting for are people battling issues many of them were born battling — poverty and mental illness. He also said he was fighting for those who are in need of another chance, specifically former prisoners.”

The focus of the conversation at the White House was regarding prison reform. Many prison reform advocacy groups focus their efforts on sentencing changes. However, when it comes to this issue the White House has instead chosen to focus on workforce training, rehabilitation programs, as well as re-entry. Now African American advocates are trying to work with the Trump administration to adjust their priorities, however, it is not without backlash. After they met with the president they started receiving backlash on social media. Moody, one of the primary pastors at the event, who works with The Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama fought back against the criticism saying that it is symbolic of the vitriol and contempt that is president regarding President Trump’s performance.

Honduran Migrant Caravan EXPLODES As it Approaches Border

* By

Amazing how this happens mere weeks before the midterm elections.

Time to put military on full alert and stationed at the border. This is an invasion and needs to be stopped in its tracks AT the border.

Stop the invasion!

From The Gateway Pundit:

On Wednesday, the caravan of mostly Honduran migrants exploded to a whopping 4,000 people as it approached the Mexico-Guatemala border, despite President Trump’s warnings to cut off U.S. aid.

The Mexican government flooded the Mexico-Guatemala border with hundreds of police officers in anticipation of a stand off with the migrants.

President Trump meant business when he issued a strong warning to Honduran President Hernandez Tuesday over the migrant caravan marching northbound to United States.

The organizer of the caravan, Bartolo Fuentes was detained in Guatemala Tuesday and it was reported Honduran migrants had splintered off into smaller groups in order to travel undetected as they made their trek to the Mexican border. Reuters reported late Tuesday that some Honduran migrants had headed back to Honduras, however; it appears the caravan has grown as it make its way through Guatemala.

The Associate Press reported Wednesday that the Hondurans were spotted in Chiquimula, Guatemala marching through rain, determined to make it the Mexican border.

Because the migrant caravan has grown to over 4,000 people, the Mexican government has sent an additional 500 police to its border with Guatemala, reported NBC News.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will be traveling to Mexico on Friday to discuss plans to stop the caravan.

A caravan of migrants fleeing Honduras has grown to 4,000 and the Mexican government has sent an additional 500 federal police to its border with Guatemala in anticipation of their arrival, according to U.S. government documents obtained by NBC News.

Part of the caravan, which has split into two groups, is now approaching the Mexico-Guatemala border amidst a surge in border crossings on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will travel to Mexico to meet with his counterparts on Friday, where plans to stop the caravan will be a “prominent” topic of discussion, according to a senior State Department official who spoke to reporters on Wednesday.

“I am certain that there will be conversations in Mexico about how we can work together on this issue,” the official said about the caravan. “We are certainly looking for concrete results and for solutions that work for both countries.”

President Trump didn’t even wait until the caravan of Hondurans reached Mexico before issuing a very stern warning to the Honduran president on Tuesday threatening to cut U.S. aid immediately!

The President’s fury continued into late Tuesday evening as he fired off another pair of tweets putting Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador on notice.

Anyone entering illegally will be arrested and detained prior to being sent back to their country, President Trump said.

Democrats Just Announce Sick New Way They Plan To Dominate GOP In Midterms To Regain Control

* By

Yet another perfect example if the tyrannical nature of the democrats. They can’t win by the rules, so they change the rules. Dishonest, lying, cheating, thieves. All that party is.

We must vote in November. Stop the democrats!

From The Daily Wire:

When all else fails, change the system.

Leftist luminaries, who weren’t able to stop the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, suggested in the aftermath that Americans should consider reforming the Senate. Reminded that expanding the Senate would require a Constitutional Amendment, they’ve now, apparently, resorted to “reforming” the other half of the bicameral legislature, the House of Representatives.

NBC News reports that some Democratic activists are suggesting that to even out the “balance of power,” the size of the House should grow as much as double its current size.

“Expanding the House of Representatives would be a vast improvement over the status quo — with the potential to impact all branches of government,” activist Steve Vladick opines for NBC’s “Think” platform.

“[C]hanging the size of the House of Representatives — from its current total of 435 seats to 650 seats, or one for every 500,000 constituents — would make that body far more reflective of the country at large; would dramatically affect presidential elections; and, perhaps alone among all of these proposed reforms, would most be in keeping with the wishes of the Constitution’s drafters,” he continues.

Vladick argues that “changing the size of the House of Representatives would make that body far more reflective of the country at large” by narrowing the size of Congressional districts and limiting district size based on population. In most cases, that would involve halving districts.

But it’s not clear how having more districts with fewer people makes the House more representative, since House members are duly elected and, in most cases, making the districts smaller wouldn’t improve a member’s ability to lunch with every last one of his or her constituents.

What it does do, however, is help the Democrats remain in control of one house of Congress at all times by giving larger cities and their immediate metropolitan areas (where there are bigger populations in smaller areas) more seats. Unless large cities with high populations switch to the GOP in the near future, Democrats would hold the clear majority in the House ad infinitum.

So really, the House would become “more reflective” of … Democratic strongholds.

Tricky, tricky.

Unfortunately for Democrats, none of these proposals — expanding the Senate, packing the Supreme Court, or doubling the size of the House — are likely headed for approval.
