Hot Mic Catches What Marine Vet Whispers To Trump At White House Event – Trump’s Response Is PERFECT

President Trump signed the Pledge to America’s Workers executive order this last Thursday at the White House. Attending were some of the most powerful business tycoons in America. There was a wide range of business leaders and industry representatives in attendance. They all pledged to increase job training and hiring programs. Millions of new career advancement and training programs were announced over a broad swath of industries during the meeting. Americans are just thrilled over this and the addition of apprenticeship programs. Trump is keeping more promises as he strives to strengthen American jobs and the economy even more.

In his opening remarks, Trump gave credit to business leaders by saying, “We’re really especially grateful to be joined today by the top CEOs, union leaders, trade associations and educators from all around the country. These are the biggest. These are the best. These are the most talented,” Trump added, “Today, 23 companies and associations are pledging to expand apprenticeships.”

This issue is personal to me as I have promoted apprenticeships in all industries for more than two decades. It is the way to go in your chosen field. Book learning is great and has its place – I have a college degree myself. But nothing replaces learning by doing. It is the ultimate way to learn any business or trade and it is the way we used to do things when America first got started. I applaud President Trump for doing something that was needed badly in the workforce.

After President Trump signed the executive order, he took the time to greet each business leader personally. One of the representatives from Microsoft had a private message to deliver to the president. Unscripted, Chris Cortez told President Trump, “Mr. President, on behalf of Microsoft — 10,000 opportunities — I’m really proud to be their representative.” Cortez then dropped his mic and leaned in to tell Trump something personal. What followed was a hot mic moment. “I served 33 years in the Marines,” Cortez told Trump quietly and humbly. “Whoa, that’s fantastic,” Trump responded. “I served with John Kelly and Jim Mattis,” Cortez continued, “and you got two good ones.” President Trump smiled and shook the vet’s hand saying, “Very good. You’re right. They’re great. They’re great. Thank you very much. Thank you.”

General John Kelly signed up for the Marines in 1970 and now serves as Trump’s chief of staff. General James (Mad Dog) Mattis joined the Marines in 1969 and now serves as U.S. secretary of defense. Trump did indeed get two of the best and bravest out there and it means the world to veterans and Americans that he did so. President Trump’s response to a Marine vet was just perfect as usual.

What isn’t publicized here as much is that Ivanka Trump is behind much of this. She has shown incredible leadership in the White House workforce initiative.

From the White House:

“That’s why, in a few moments, I will be signing an executive order to establish the National Council for the American Worker. That’s a first. This Council will be made up of top officials across the government. We’re also establishing an outside advisory board of industry leaders and experts, which we will announce in the coming weeks. Very shortly. A lot of people want to be on that board very badly; I have some great people going on that board.

“Together, their task will be to develop a national workforce and strategy to equip Americans of all ages and at all stages of their career with the skills they need to thrive in the modern economy. Whether it’s a high school student looking to land their first job — first job ever. They’ve got a lot of enthusiasm, and they lose that enthusiasm when they don’t land that job, but now they’re all landing jobs. Or a late-career worker who wants to learn a new trade, we want every American to have the chance to earn a great living doing a great job that they love, where they wake up in the morning and they can’t get to work fast enough. A lot of these people know that feeling. That’s why they’re in the position they’re in.

“In that spirit, I’m proud to announce an exciting new challenge and the beginning of a new national movement. We’re asking businesses and organizations across the country to sign our new pledge to America’s workers.

“Today, 23 companies and associations are pledging to expand apprenticeships. That’s an interesting word for me to be saying. Right? “The Apprentice.” (Laughter.) I never actually put that together until just now. That was a good experience, I will tell you that. (Laughter.) Isn’t that strange? Ivanka, I never associated — but here we are. Can’t get away from that word. That’s a great word. For on the job training and vocational education.

“They will sign the Pledge, committing to train and re-train more than 3.8 million American students and workers for new jobs and rewarding careers. (Applause.)

“This is only day one, and we far exceeded our initial goal of 500,000 students and workers. We thought it was going to be 500,000, and it’s close to 4 million. And by the time the day ends, it will probably be well over 4 million.”

Not only are Trump’s efforts here helping veterans, they help teenagers and older Americans as well. There are more jobs than employees out there these days and Trump is not done helping both the economy and the labor market pull out of their socialistic tailspin thanks to Obama. Hot mic moments show you what is really going on and with Trump, it just highlights how highly those around him think of him as a man and a leader.

Former Facebook Security Chief Just Blindsided Google CEO With Earth Shattering Claim

* By

Many have been critical of Google’s plan to launch a censored search engine in China, now a former Facebook executive has called out Google’s CEO for lying about the company’s motives.
Facebook’s former security chief Alex Stamos took to Twitter recently to attack Google CEO Sundar Pichai for his comments defending the company’s decision to move into the China market with its censored search engine known as “Project Dragonfly,” Silicon Beat reports.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Pichai stated that Google was “committed to serving users in China” and compared Chinese censorship laws to the “right to be forgotten” law in the European Union. Pichai received severe criticism for this comparison, both internally and from those outside of Google.

“Tech companies constantly walk a difficult path between complying with local law and protecting human rights,” Stamos tweeted Thursday. “For Sundar to compare the “right to be forgotten” (which I agree is problematic) with censorship in China is, at best, amoral and mendacious.”

Stamos further added that: “China’s censorship regime is a tool to maintain the absolute control of the party-state and is in no way comparable,” to the right to be forgotten law.

Google software engineer Colin McMillen tweeted: “It is extremely bad that Sundar appears to either think that RTBF is morally equivalent to government surveillance & censorship, or that he appears to think that nobody will notice this analogy is extremely inaccurate.”

WATCH: Entire Eagles Offense Does Incredible Gesture For Veterans- Kaepernick Probably Pissed

The Eagles offense struggled on Sunday night, and put up their fair share of bad plays. However, their celebration game was definitely on point.

The defending Super Bowl champs hosted the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Which, also happened to be on Veterans Day. While the first part of the game brought forth precious little in terms of offensive output. The second half saw a burst of scoring from both teams and, a salute to our veterans from the entire Eagles offense:

The NFL has certainly done its fair share of damage in tarnishing the celebration of our flag, anthem, and military, by protesting during the national anthem. However, with those protests having all but disappeared, it would be good for the NFL to work towards resuming its former place as the primary celebrators of our flag and country, in American sports.

Sunday night was a good start.
