Injured Veteran Brutally Mocked By SNL Comedian Just Responded Like A Total Savage

The latest stunt by late night “comedy” show SNL has proved to be their worst.

It’s commonplace for SNL to make fun of President Trump and his team around him, but what they did over the weekend to a wounded vet makes you wonder who is even watching this show.

Daily Wire writes:

Dan Crenshaw, a Republican candidate running for an open congressional seat in Texas, has responded after he was mocked by “Saturday Night Live” comedian Pete Davidson for wearing an eyepatch. Crenshaw lost an eye after an IED exploded while he was serving in Afghanistan.

Davidson had said during a “Weekend Update” bit that Crenshaw looked like “a hitman in a porno movie.”

“I’m sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever,” Davidson continued.

Crenshaw took the joke in stride, tweeting Sunday morning:

Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended. That being said, I hope @nbcsnl recognizes that vets don’t deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes.”

Later on Sunday, TMZ found Crenshaw and asked him about the SNL bit. Crenshaw didn’t demand an apology from Davidson.

“I want us to get away from this culture where we demand an apology every time someone misspeaks,” Crenshaw said. He continued:

“I think that would be very healthy for our nation to go in that direction. We don’t need to be outwardly outraged. I don’t need to demand apologies from them. They can do whatever they want, you know. They are feeling the heat from around the country right now and that’s fine.”

He then echoed his tweet, saying he hopes the comedian and SNL realize “veterans across the country probably don’t feel as though their wounds they received in battle should be the subject of a bad punch line.”

As The Daily Wire previously reported, Crenshaw is a retired lieutenant commander for the U.S. Navy, and a former Navy SEAL. He served five tours overseas. During his third tour, in Afghanistan, he was hit by the blast of an IED. He lost his right eye and damaged his left, but returned to serve after multiple surgeries.

Crenshaw retired in 2016 and has been awarded the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and the Navy Commendation Medal with Valor. After earning a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, Crenshaw moved back to his home state of Texas to run for Congress.

Crenshaw is running against Democrat Todd Litton in an open race to replace Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX), who is retiring.

Neither Davidson nor NBC has issued a formal apology to Crenshaw, although the comedian did poke fun at his own looks in the same segment in which he mocked Crenshaw.

“I shouldn’t be making fun of how anyone looks. I look like I make vape juice in a bathtub,” he said.

Stay away from the romaine lettuce this Thanksgiving.

That’s the advice of the Food and Drug administration in an emergency alert they sent out earlier today.

From Fox News:

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday said the public should not eat romaine lettuce as a result of a multistate E. coli outbreak.

At least 32 people have gotten sick and at least 13 have been hospitalized as a result of the outbreak that is believed to be connected to romaine lettuce, according to the FDA.

“People should not eat romaine lettuce until more is known about the source of the contaminated lettuce and the status of the outbreak,” the federal agency said.

The FDA, who is investigating the matter with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and state and local agencies, said they’re also working alongside officials in Canada, where people are also being warned to stay away from romaine lettuce.

At least the turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing are still fine to eat!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Socialist Ocasio-Cortez Just Flip-Flopped On Key Issue – This Will INFURIATE Democrats

This is truly bizarre. Something might be seriously wrong with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, folks.

And I mean that with all genuineness.

This woman simply cannot make up her mind and is SERIOUSLY confused.

From The Daily Wire:

Newly elected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has apparently come far in her admiration for likely Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), going from picketing with environmentalists outside Pelosi’s office on her first day in Washington, D.C., to defending the aging Democratic leader against “anti-Pelosi” activists.

Speaking to MSNBC Monday night, Ocasio-Cortez dismissed the group of 16 House Democrats who issued a public letter Monday morning calling on Pelosi to take her name out of contention for the position of Speaker of the House. Ocasio-Cortez attacked the group for its lack of “diversity,” and cautioned that leaving Pelosi out of contention could leave the door open to more “conservative” leaders rather than more “progressive” ones.

“If anything, I think that what it does is that it creates a window where we could potentially get more conservative leadership,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “When you actually look at the signatories, it is not necessarily reflective of the diversity of the party.”

“We have about 16 signatories,” she continued. “Fourteen of them are male, there are very few people of color in the caucus, there’s very few ideological diversity. It’s not like there are progressives that are signing on, it’s not like you have a broad-based coalition.”

Oddly enough, Ocasio-Cortez, who frequently makes sweeping proclamations about instituting progressive programs without any clear understanding of what those programs might require, criticized the anti-Pelosi group for lacking a clear plan.

“My main concern was that there is no vision, there is no common value, there is no goal that is really articulated in this letter aside from ‘We need to change,’” she added. “If we are not on the same page about changing the systems and the values and how we’re going to adapt as a party for the future, then what is the point of just changing our party leadership just for the sake of that?”

Ocasio-Cortez closed by pledging to vote for Pelosi for Speaker — if, of course, Pelosi is the “most progressive” candidate on the slate.

Ocasio-Cortez’s two positions on Pelosi aren’t exactly at odds; it seems like she’d prefer a different Speaker, but is willing to use progressive activism to push Pelosi further to the left, as if the tactic hasn’t been tried before. What makes Pelosi a strong leader is that she probably won’t easily be swayed by first-term Members of Congress with a nationally unpopular agenda. …

Leave it to the young, millennial, Democratic Socialists to wind up very confused about what they want.
