Kid Tracks Down Boy On Playground And Makes Him Pay For Being ‘A Slave’

An innocent 9-year-old boy was caught unexpectedly in a playground after a disgruntled 13-year-old took his anger out on the other playground playmate. The boy who lost his life was brutally stabbed multiple times, piercing a rib and cutting into a lung that ultimately decided his fate at the hands of a teenager. The offender, who was recently found guilty of the crime and charged as an adult, was tired of being made to feel like a slave.

You might think this has something to do with the race of the children involved, but one should know it’s nothing like that. The boy who was found guilty of the crime came from parents who had an alleged history of abuse on their son. The boy reportedly tried to take his own life multiple times, expressed anger and talked of his mother and step-father physically abusing him, and it seemed like he tried to escape the abuse during his multiple attempts to leave our world.

Unfortunately, the boy was unsuccessful in his attempts to take his own life. What transpired next was a moment that no parents would ever wish upon any child in the world. The boy was at the playground with a sharp object and that’s where he attacked another child who had no idea this was their last day.

It was tragic on all accounts and many people believe that the parents responsible for all the alleged abuse should be held responsible for the horrific attack and passing of the other child, whose name is Connor Verkerke. The parents of the offender, 13-year-old Jamarion Lawhorn, think their child should be let off the hook on the basis of insanity. Some fellow parents believe the boy acted out in hopes to get away from the abusive family and he finally broke down and did something terrible enough to make it happen. Many people want the parents charged with a crime as well.

“As 13-year-old Jamarion Lawhorn sat in the courtroom, charged with a brutal murder on a playground, his mom and stepdad took the witness stand.

Both have histories of abusing him.

Anita Lawhorn, who is awaiting trial for abuse, and stepfather, Bernard Harrold, recently convicted of abusing Jamarion, were called by the defense to help show their son should be found not guilty by reason of insanity.

It’s not clear they helped.

The stepdad admitted to spanking him with a belt when he misbehaved and hitting him in the chest with the back of his hand, but he mentioned nothing about hitting him with an extension cord.

Jamarion has said Harrold beat him with a cord, leaving marks on the back of his legs, and that he treated him “like a slave.”

Anita Lawhorn also acknowledged spanking him with a belt since he was young.

“I never left marks on my kids,” Lawhorn said.

Both said they stopped spanking him since a CPS investigation that followed allegations of physical abuse in 2013. Investigators had found marks on Jamarion’s legs — evidence of repeated abuse.

“I left the marks,” Harrold admitted. “I apologized to him and I never used corporal punishment again.”

“I would ask him if he wanted a whupping, but I never did it,” Lawhorn said. “I used it like a last resort to get his attention, but I never did it again (after 2013).”

Jamarion was 12 when he fatally stabbed 9-year-old Connor Verkerke on a Kentwood playground in August 2014. That he killed Connor is not in question. What a jury will have to decide is whether he was legally sane at the time.

Forensic pathologist Dr. David Start, who performed the autopsy, said Connor was stabbed five times in the back and once in the arm. Two of the wounds penetrated a lung, leading to his death. One was forceful enough to go through a rib.

Under cross-examination, Lawhorn said her son seemed happy last summer after returning from New York, where he lived with his father for about a year, to live with her. She seemed to become angry with prosecutors when asked whether Jamarion seemed happy the day of the stabbing.

“I can’t tell you what’s in my son’s mind,” she said.

She also testified that on the day of the stabbing, Jamarion got into trouble for being on the computer and that his stepfather, Harrold, said he would “deal with” Jamarion when he got home. But Harrold said he only threatened to punish him, maybe make him rake the yard, not hit him.

The lead Kentwood police detective in the case described the home where Jamarion lived with his mom, stepdad and three siblings as “deplorable.” Police found beer cans all over, flies as well as mouse droppings, electrical problems and drywall falling from the bathroom. They found a straw with cocaine residue.

The detective also found other knives in Jamarion’s bedroom during a search after the stabbing.

CPS worker Paula Leonard, who started investigating after the stabbing, said she found mold in the Lawhorn home, rotted food, filth, backed up sinks and no edible food in the refrigerator. There were dirty clothes and debris on the floor of Jamarion’s bedroom and no sheets on his bed. His mattress was covered with bugs.

Dr. Debra Simms, a pediatric child abuse expert who interviewed and examined Jamarion after the stabbing, said he told her: “I got a problem with anger.”

She went on to describe how he had started fires in his home and got in trouble for taking a fake knife into school. But she said she wasn’t aware of reports that he had tortured small animals.

Jamarion told her that his stepdad beat him with an extension cord for not cleaning and not filling the ice trays. Reports from Child Protective Services show Jamarion had been beaten by his mom with belt, his stepdad with a cord and his grandmother with a sandal.

But, Simms said under cross-examination by the prosecutor: “I’ve never had an abused child that has gone out and killed someone.”

At the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center, after his arrest, Jamarion talked of dying and wondered “who would give him the shot to end his life,” said Sarah Benjamin, a social worker at the center. He was sent to a psychiatric hospital for three days.

Benjamin said in the months after he returned to detention, Jamarion tried to kill himself — wrapping sweatshirts around his neck several times and once putting his head in the toilet. But in the last six months, Jamarion has stopped trying to kill himself, she said.”

Judging by the report made by WoodTV, it sure sounds like the parents are directly responsible for turning their child into a criminal who has now taken the life of someone else. It’s a shame that the lives of both children are completely ruined thanks to the inhumane treatment and alleged abuse perpetrated by such horrible parents.

Should the parents be charged with a crime?

President Trump Announced How He Just Got Mexico To Pay For The Wall

* By

When President Trump said he would have Mexico pay for the wall on our southern border, he meant it. He just announced how they are going to do it too… through the USMCA (the revision of NAFTA). Which I suspect was the plan all along.

Very early this morning at about 4:38 am, Trump tweeted: “I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!”

For those doubters on Twitter (and you will see some of them below), I highly doubt the plan was ever to have Mexico pay for the wall up front. We would fund the wall and recoup the funding from Mexico. I don’t see what is so hard to understand about that. But it seems to be a financial move many can’t seem to grasp and that is beyond their comprehension.

I fully support that if Congress just won’t fund the wall, having the military build it through Pentagon funding and then reimbursing them for it. Why? Because it is a national security issue and always has been. That border is a clear and present danger.

Why shouldn’t Trump have Mexico pay through the USMCA? And why all the negativity from people who are obviously poorly informed and just politically biased? They let their hate for the president dictate all their thoughts and actions rather than looking at the mechanics of the move and the benefits from it. I just don’t get these people. They have not even given this a chance and already they are shooting it down. That’s a leftist for you.

Check out the moves on Twitter over this:

Most of these people don’t seem to get that a great deal of the funding for the wall was approved before Trump started all of this. I have never seen so many people so intent on leaving themselves open to attack. What a bunch of foolish, self-involved individuals. Just sad. Build the wall whatever it takes and do it fast before one of our many enemies gets a chance to severely cripple this nation once again.

Illegal Invader Collides With Major Karma After Leaving Church – Should’ve Listened!

An illegal alien was busted in North Carolina last week after leaving a church to meet for a scheduled appointment with immigration officials. Samuel Oliver-Bruno, 47, was evidently living for almost a year in the basement of a Methodist church while trying to get his deportation to Mexico delayed. ICE doesn’t make arrests in churches so they waited until he left this one.

Oliver-Bruno was asked to provide his fingerprints to move his petition forward. He was promptly arrested in the USCIS office when he arrived. To be fair, this guy is a convicted criminal and is not some innocent victim here. Clergy from the church formed a human wall around the vehicle taking him to detention, singing “Amazing Grace” and chanting “Let him stay!” Several were arrested. The Hill has more on this misguided intervention:

An undocumented man was arrested in North Carolina on Friday after leaving a church to meet for a scheduled appointment with immigration officials, The News & Observer reported.

Samuel Oliver-Bruno, 47, was living in the basement of Durham’s CityWell United Methodist Church for nearly a year while he petitioned for his deportation to Mexico to be delayed. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement does not make arrests in churches.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services asked Oliver-Bruno to appear in person to provide his fingerprints in order for his petition to be processed. He was then arrested inside the USCIS office, the paper reported.

“Mr. Oliver-Bruno is a convicted criminal who has received all appropriate legal process under federal law, has no outstanding appeals, and has no legal basis to remain in the U.S.,” U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson Bryan Cox told The News & Observer in a statement.

Faith leaders and church members who had accompanied Oliver-Bruno formed a human wall around the vehicle taking him to detention, singing “Amazing Grace” and chanting “Let him stay!” Several were arrested, according to CNN.

“It was presented as a legitimate appointment but ICE utilized due process as bait,” Cleve May, a pastor at the church, told CNN. “So we went to the appointment with him, to offer protection, knowing that ICE could not be trusted. We were thinking we would be in and out in 30 minutes.”

Reps. David Price (D-N.C.) and G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.) released a joint statement following  Oliver-Bruno’s arrest, saying the man was “entrapped” and vowing to fight his arrest.

“Samuel’s sudden and inappropriate arrest in the middle of the Thanksgiving season reflects the callous and cruel approach we’ve come to expect from the Trump administration. As Members of Congress representing the Durham community, we will continue to do everything in our power to keep the Oliver-Bruno family together,” they said.

“In a call with us this afternoon, ICE has committed to allow Mr. Oliver-Bruno to remain in the U.S. in detention while his case is adjudicated. While this means he will not be immediately deported, we remain committed to fighting for his release.”

Oliver-Bruno was arrested in El Paso, Texas, in 2014 after using a Texas birth certificate to enter the U.S., according to CNN. He lived for 11 months in sanctuary at the Durham church, where he helped with renovations, including a bedroom and shower after CityWell agreed to take him in the facility.

Oliver-Bruno said he feared he will be deported, leaving behind his son and wife, who has lupus and depends on her husband financially, the News & Observer reported.
