NFL Legend Shocks With Surprising Support For Trump In 2020 – ‘Makes Me Very Unpopular’

Published

on

The legendary NFL running back, Jim Brown has offered his endorsement to President Donald Trump and his re-election campaign for 2020. That endorsement has not come without personal cost, however, as Brown freely admits the endorsement will make him unpopular among liberal black activists. The 82-year-old was a visible civil rights activist after his days in the NFL and is still considered a formidable force. Brown, 6-foot-2, and 230 lbs. dominated football as a running back for the Cleveland Browns back in the 1960s.

For decades, Brown has been an activist, particularly for minorities and the inner-cities. His Amer-I-Can program is designed to “empower individuals to take charge of their lives and achieve their full potential,” the group says. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971 and eight-time NFL rushing leader, Brown is well known for his work in the black community.

Brown made his endorsement for Trump during an appearance on the JT The Brick Show on Fox Sports Radio this week. The Hall of Fame running back did so knowing full well the left would attack him. He noted that he’s met many Presidents of the past, and was asked how he felt about President Trump.

According to the Daily Wire –

“I should be criticizing Trump on every level because he does certain things that call for criticism but when I look at television I see all these announcers become experts and they’re pointing the fingers and they’re not doing a doggone thing but pointing their fingers, I find myself really pulling for the president,” Brown said.

“Now, that would make me very unpopular in the black community, very unpopular with a lot of Americans … but I think that there are certain good things that are coming out of this presidency because we’ve never seen anything like it,” Brown said, as reported by TMZ.

Brown said it’s his duty as a good American. “I believe that I have to work on myself first to be as good a person as I could be to back up my country as best as I know how.”

The NFL legend met with the president-elect in 2016 at Trump Tower to ask how he could best help the black community.

Several high-profile athletes — including NBA stars LeBron James and Stephen Curry — have ripped Trump, vowing not to go to the White House if invited. But other prominent blacks, especially rapper Kanye West, have praised the president.

“You don’t have to agree with Trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” West wrote on Twitter in April — setting off a firestorm. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

Brown added that he believes it is his duty as a good American to support the candidate that has served his community the best, in spite of any consequences that befall him personally, stating – I believe that I have to work on myself first to be as good a person as I could be to back up my country as best as I know how.”

He has also been extremely vocal regarding just how much he dislikes the NFL’s constant protests of the national anthem. Brown is no stranger to civil rights activism, but he believes the National Anthem is the wrong time to criticize our country.

Brown opined, “I believe that I have to work on myself first to be as good a person as I could be to back up my country as best as I know how. And the second situation I should be helpful to those people who need help that don’t have life as good as I have it and if I do those two things, I think I’m making my contribution.”

Brown has met with President Trump before at Trump Tower to discuss the black community and issues that many black people face. Since his election in 2016, Trump’s support in the black community has skyrocketed to unprecedented levels for a Republican president. Many view his endorsement as another example of the black community waking up to exactly what is happening to the black community under Democratic leadership.

Brown previously noted “The three greatest people in my life were white, OK. My high school coach, my high school superintendent and my mentor in Manhasset, Long Island,” he said. “When I come out of the box, I don’t come out of the box as racial. I look for good people and people that will be like-minded and help me try to do good for other human beings.”

Brown went on to say that the conversation he and Trump had about helping the black community impressed him. “He really talks about helping African-American, black people and uh that’s why I’m here.”

Republicans Quietly Set All-Time Record While Democrats Collapse Overnight

Published

on

While the American Left is busy trying to pull the rug from under hard-working Americans by pushing an anti-Trump narrative that’s about as believable as the conspiracy that the earth is flat, the GOP was doing a bit of magic of its own.

It’s now being reported that the Republican National Committee has smashed all fundraising records by raising $213 million so far for the fall midterm elections. And what’s even better is the fact the 99% of the money comes from small donations.

Here is more via CNN:

“The Republican National Committee has raised more than $200 million this election cycle, according to an RNC official, the fastest the committee has reached the milestone in a midterm period.

The fundraising achievement, which was expected after the committee came within $900,000 of $200 million last month, is significant for a party that is trying to buck historical norms in 2018. The political party in power traditionally gets rejected at the ballot box two years after they take power, a fact that President Donald Trump has mentioned numerous times in public and private as Republicans prepare for November.

The RNC raised $13.9 million in the month of June — the most it has raised in that month in a non-presidential year — bringing its total fundraising haul to $213 million for the 2017-2018 cycle.

The committee has $50.7 million in the bank and no debt.

The RNC’s numbers will officially be released on Friday when the committee files with the Federal Election Commission.

The RNC haul far eclipses the more than $101 million the Democratic National Committee has raised this cycle, giving the committee upwards of five times the amount of cash-on-hand as the Democrats.

“What I see when I travel the country is that Americans continue to be enthusiastic about President Trump and the Republican agenda,” RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “That enthusiasm has allowed for me to grow our war chest and invest it into what has become the biggest ground game in our Party’s history.”

Despite the excitement McDaniel says she has experienced traveling the country, polling has consistently shown Democrats, motivated by anti-Trump fervor, are more excited to vote in 2018 and see the election as a referendum on the President. That excitement, though, has not turned into a fundraising boon for the DNC.

The DNC raised $67 million in 2017, half of the $132.5 million the RNC raised that year. And, to date, the committee has raised $101 million this cycle, according to a DNC official, a number that pales in comparison to the RNC haul.

The fundraising woes have left the Democrats without much in the bank. According to its last FEC report, the RNC had $47 million in cash on hand, five times as much as the $9 million the Democrats have.

Party Chair Tom Perez, who was tasked with rebuilding a beleaguered DNC after Hillary Clinton’s loss in 2016, has tried to focus on fundraising while also investing their smaller war chest in more strategic ways than previous chairs.

“For me, the north star is not can we match them dollar for dollar,” Perez told CNN of the RNC. “It is can we raise the money we need to execute our game plane.”

The DNC under Perez, for example, has spent no money on television ads, something his predecessors did do.

McDaniel, who became RNC chair in December 2016, has led the committee’s effort to raise massive sums during the 2018 midterms.

With an eye on investing $250 million into the party’s midterm efforts, McDaniel has spent a bulk of her time traveling from state-to-state to raise money for the party.”

Western Journalism is reporting that this is, in fact, the fasted the GOP has ever surpassed the $200 million mark during a midterm election year. Which would point to the fact that people are happy with President Donald Trump and his agenda.

Chairwoman of the GOP Ronna McDaniel has said she is traveling the nation and that she sees the fact that people are happy with the Republican agenda wherever she goes. And that’s what is causing this influx of funds at such a high rate of speed. McDaniel has held over 88 fundraisers and is on the phone with donors for six hours a day.

Now what’s even better is that according to the fundraiser numbers that will be released today the Republican party broke the record for the most amount of money raised in June during a non-presidential election year: $13.9 million. And what’s perhaps even a better gauge is that the GOP also has $50.7 million in the bank and zero debt. This alone places them well ahead of the Democrat National Committee, which has raised $101 million and has $9 million on hand. That’s 5 times less than the money the RNC has to spend in the upcoming midterms. This is not a new problem for the DNC, in 2017 they were only able to raise $67 million compared to the $132.5 million raised by the RNC. Pretty pathetic if you consider the DNC owns all of Hollywood.

As Elementary Kids Fold Our Flag, Mom Shocked At Unusual Reaction From One Classmate

We seem to be in a time in America where patriotism is fading amongst the younger generation.

We used to look at sports figures as leaders, and now way too many of them are leading our kids astray by disrespecting the flag and our service people.

Musicians and actors make mocking our president a hobby and encourage young people to act out against conservative values.

And kids are doing it, you see it on sports fields across America, not just players just cheerleaders as well.

When a mom drove up to her child’s elementary school in Hayden Idaho she saw something that she will never forget. There were three boys doing something with the American flag that she was so taken back by, that she scrambled to get a picture off before they stopped.

9news wrote:

HAYDEN, Id. — A photo of three boys in Hayden taking down the U.S. flag garnered more than 2,000 shares on Facebook in just one day.

The photo was taken Wednesday afternoon at Hayden Meadows Elementary by Amanda Reallan, a mom who was there to pick up her kids. While waiting in the parking lot, she said she saw something that overwhelmed her and snapped a photo that would soon go viral.

n the picture were three fifth graders taking down a flag. Struggling to keep the flag off the ground, one of the boys laid on the ground to protect it.

“We’ve had a bunch of close calls,” said Jack LeBreck, the boy who took to the pavement. “But I thought it would happen because it was kind of a windy day. So I just thought of laying down… and seeing what would happen.”

The three boys, who have all been involved in Cub Scouts, were inspired by the leadership of one special staff member.

“It was all because of our custodian, Mr. Mac,” LeBreck said.

Mac McCarty is a veteran with 20 years of service. He helped select the kids who put up and take down the flag.

“What they did yesterday was obviously all them… laying on the ground and all that,” McCarty said. “And I’m very proud.”

The kids, chosen by McCarty, have all taken the responsibility seriously — and with pride.

“It’s really a great privilege,” said Casey Dolan, another of the three boys in that photo. “I feel really lucky I was chosen for it.”

They said they were amazed by the outpouring of support they got for their creative display of patriotism.

“It felt like… I was gonna be like ‘hey mom, I should be an actor some day,’” joked Nalan Tuttle, whose own father is in the military.

“They did themselves proud, they did their families proud, they did their school proud, and I am very proud of them,” McCarty said.

It’s amazing the level of respect these boys have for the flag. They have been taught well by Mr.Mac, he has conveyed to these boys what that flag means and why it deserves our respect.

I would like to send a few NFL’ers up to Hayden Elementry to spend a few days working around the school with custodian Mac. He could impart a little wisdom about the flag and why they should respect it and the people who served to defend it.

It’s nice to report on something positive like this. To them it’s just something they do, they didn’t even understand what was so remarkable. These kids are being raised right, maybe “America will be great again.”
