Obama Admin Approved $200k Grant To Group Tied To 9/11 Terrorists

Published

Many people were hopeful in January 2009 when former President Barack Obama took office. The first black president of the United States of America with his mantra of “hope and change” and promises to be a leader for all Americans regardless of color, and claims to be the most transparent administration ever.

Yet as America continues to recover from the Obama administration’s eight-year crime spree, it clearly did not turn out that way. The evidence continues to reveal on a daily, and sometimes even an hourly basis that the Obama administration was the most corrupt presidency in the history of the republic.

Never missing an opportunity to sow racial dissent, widening division and heightening racial tensions, setting them back decades. Then there was the weaponization of various government offices against the American people such as the IRS, EPA, and the NSA, among others. The abuse of power began to reveal itself when it was discovered IRS was specifically targeting Republican and Conservative groups and culminates in the most recent abuses with the weaponization of our intelligence and security services and the criminal spying on the Trump campaign. Now we find that not only was Obama sowing dissent at home and actively working to use the power of the government against his political enemies and those of differing political ideologies, he was actively funding America’s enemies with American tax dollars.

A recent report offers undeniable and irrefutable proof that the Obama administration knowingly provided an Islamic terrorist-financing organization with hundreds of thousands of dollars. This was in spite of the fact that the group has been designated as a terrorist-funding organization for more than a decade by the United States government.

Yet officials serving in the Obama administration saw fit to approve the release of well over $100,000 to Khartoum-based Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA).  Even after officials were specifically advised that this group was directly affiliated with known al-Qaeda operatives Osama bin Laden and Maktab al-Khidamat (MK), they knowingly released this money into the hands of known terrorists that meant harm to America and her people.

Also known by the name the Islamic African Relief Agency (IARA), the group then received an additional $200,000 taxpayer-funded grant from the Obama administration.  In case you missed that – despite their ties to known terror affiliates of a group named a terrorist group more than 10 years prior, the Obama administration saw fit to release $115,000 to the organization. Then when officials were specifically told of the terror designation and affiliations with al-Qaeda, in case they somehow missed the memo, Obama administration officials doubled down and released an additional $200,000 in a taxpayer-funded grant to the same terror-affiliated group!

As Fox News reports –

“The Obama administration approved a $200,000 grant to a group in Sudan with ties to Al Qaeda even though it had been designated a terrorist-financing organization by the U.S. years earlier, a conservative think tank revealed this week.

Further, an agency official acknowledged the prior administration allowed taxpayer money to flow to the group even after its designation was discovered.

The 2014 grant to the Islamic Relief Agency, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, was revealed by Sam Westrop of the Middle East Forum in a story for the National Review.

‘More stunningly, government officials specifically authorized the release of at least $115,000 of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization,’ Westrop wrote in the article.

USAID has since reviewed its policies, though the Trump administration stressed this all occurred in the Obama years.

‘As this occurred under the prior administration, the current Secretary of the State, Secretary of Treasury, and USAID Administrator had no involvement in decisions surrounding this award or subsequent license,’ State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement to Fox News on Friday.

An official with the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, backed up the National Review account in an email to Fox News, providing a timeline of events:

The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control designated the Islamic Relief Agency in Khartoum in 2004 a terror-financing organization because of links to Usama bin Laden.

But 10 years later, in March 2014, USAID awarded $723,405 to a charity called World Vision Inc., with $200,000 of those funds being directed to the Islamic Relief Agency.

The money was directed “to help provide humanitarian aid, including emergency food, water, sanitation, and hygiene services, to displaced people affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan,” the official said.

The grant to ISRA, though, soon set off alarms.

In November 2014, according to the official, USAID learned that the ISRA could be on the Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons, or SDN, list.

‘USAID directed World Vision to suspend all activities with ISRA, and not to engage in further transactions with the organization,’ the official said.

But in May 2015, the Treasury Department still authorized ‘a one-time transfer” from that money of $115,000 to ISRA “for humanitarian assistance work already performed.’

According to the National Review story, there was pressure from inside USAID at the time to still pay ISRA, even after the designation was revealed. USAID’s mission director for Sudan, Larry Meserve, warned colleagues that the organization’s “whole program will be jeopardized” if ISRA was not paid, the story said.

‘Obama-administration officials knowingly approved the transfer of taxpayer dollars to an al-Qaeda affiliate, and not an obscure one but an enormous international network that was often in the headlines,’ Westrop wrote.

USAID now says the grant should not have been made. Because of the grant, the USAID said Friday, they have since conducted a review of policies on the screening of awardees.

‘USAID has also updated trainings for our agreement officers to improve our screening of prime and sub-awardees,’ the official said.”

The scandals continue to mount for the most “scandal free” administration in history as Obama stated in a speech at MIT. “We didn’t have a scandal that embarrassed us,” Obama said. Sure, there were occasional mistakes and screw-ups, “but there wasn’t anything venal in eight years.”

Yet here we are nearly two years out of the Obama administration and things are continuing to be revealed about what went on during the Obama years in the White House that are not only a “scandal” but seem to take corruption to a whole new level defying anything in the prior American experience.

Former Facebook Security Chief Just Blindsided Google CEO With Earth Shattering Claim

Many have been critical of Google’s plan to launch a censored search engine in China, now a former Facebook executive has called out Google’s CEO for lying about the company’s motives.
Facebook’s former security chief Alex Stamos took to Twitter recently to attack Google CEO Sundar Pichai for his comments defending the company’s decision to move into the China market with its censored search engine known as “Project Dragonfly,” Silicon Beat reports.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Pichai stated that Google was “committed to serving users in China” and compared Chinese censorship laws to the “right to be forgotten” law in the European Union. Pichai received severe criticism for this comparison, both internally and from those outside of Google.

“Tech companies constantly walk a difficult path between complying with local law and protecting human rights,” Stamos tweeted Thursday. “For Sundar to compare the “right to be forgotten” (which I agree is problematic) with censorship in China is, at best, amoral and mendacious.”

Stamos further added that: “China’s censorship regime is a tool to maintain the absolute control of the party-state and is in no way comparable,” to the right to be forgotten law.

Google software engineer Colin McMillen tweeted: “It is extremely bad that Sundar appears to either think that RTBF is morally equivalent to government surveillance & censorship, or that he appears to think that nobody will notice this analogy is extremely inaccurate.”

WATCH: Entire Eagles Offense Does Incredible Gesture For Veterans- Kaepernick Probably Pissed

The Eagles offense struggled on Sunday night, and put up their fair share of bad plays. However, their celebration game was definitely on point.

The defending Super Bowl champs hosted the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Which, also happened to be on Veterans Day. While the first part of the game brought forth precious little in terms of offensive output. The second half saw a burst of scoring from both teams and, a salute to our veterans from the entire Eagles offense:

The NFL has certainly done its fair share of damage in tarnishing the celebration of our flag, anthem, and military, by protesting during the national anthem. However, with those protests having all but disappeared, it would be good for the NFL to work towards resuming its former place as the primary celebrators of our flag and country, in American sports.

Sunday night was a good start.
