President Trump Announces Retirement Executive Order To Help Seniors

President Donald Trump heads to Charlotte, North Carolina today as he plans to make a landmark announcement concerning retirement as an aging Baby Boomer population is retiring in epic proportions. The Baby Boomer generation, or Boomers, are those born between 1946 and 1964 and are heading to retirement in droves. Approximately, 10,000 Boomers are retiring daily on average currently.

President Trump is set to sign an executive order known as “Strengthening Retirement Security in America” at the Harris Campus of Central Piedmont Community College near the airport. The purpose of the executive order is an effort to make it easier for small businesses to group together to provide workers with 401K retirement plans.

A White House spokesperson states the order is part of an administration policy “to promote programs that enhance retirement security and expand access to workplace retirement savings plans for American workers.” Known as “multiple employer plans” Trump administration officials state this option could make it cheaper for small employers to offer retirement savings options for their employees.

UPDATE: Trump speaks before signing the order. Watch.

Ben Edwards owns a small motorcycle repair shop known as “Ben’s v-Twins,” and has never been able to offer retirement benefits to employees. Edwards states – “It’s very tough for a small business to compete against the big guys. If you can offer a 401K, or anything similar to that, to an employee, it’s definitely going to keep them happier.”

Government statistics show that Edwards is not alone either as some 40% of America’s workforce does not have access to 401K plans. The majority are employees of small businesses.

President Trump will be accompanied by Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta and Linda McMahon, administrator of the Small Business Administration.

Friday’s announcement about retirement plans comes after President Trump’s surprise move to cancel raises for federal workers. The move will impact hundreds of workers at Charlotte’s Veterans Affairs Housing Authority along with several other government agencies. Federal workers were slotted to receive a 2.1% pay increase this year, however, due to the rising federal deficit, President Trump has made the decision to put cancel that raise.

The public signing of the executive order will follow a private fundraiser for Mark Harris (R-N.C., 9th District) and U.S. Rep. Ted Budd (R-N.C., 13th District), at Carmel Country Club in south Charlotte.

Protests are already planned ahead of President Trump’s visit to Charlotte with “Indivisible Charlotte” planning to rally outside the CPCC Harris campus before and during the executive order signing. Another group known as “Indivisible N.C. District 9” will protest outside Carmel Country Club.

According to the Charlotte Observer

“On Thursday, the administration faced questions about why Trump is coming to North Carolina to sign the executive order, and whether the trip is intended to defray the costs of his campaign fund-raising stops for Budd and Harris.

“The president is going out to the American people,” said James Sherk, a White House labor adviser. “This is a significant action…It seems more fitting and appropriate to do that in real America than here in the Beltway, surrounded by the swamp.’”

The North Carolina Republicans are facing uncertainty over whether the state’s congressional districts might be redrawn under court order even before the fall vote. Democrats are attempting to flip control of the U.S. House in the upcoming November elections. In order to accomplish this, they need just 23 seats.

President Trump’s fundraising effort on behalf of Harris and Budd comes at a time when both Republicans are said to be lagging significantly behind their Democratic opponents in cash on hand in districts where the election is considered some of the most competitive in the state. According to July campaign finance reports, Harris has under $300,000 in campaign funds. Meanwhile, his Democratic opponent Dan McCready has $1.8 million. Budd trails opponent Kathy Manning by around $500,000.

A fundraiser lunch will help Harris and Budd get donations from wealthy Mecklenburg county Republicans. A photo and a spot at a roundtable with President Trump will go for $25,000, according to the invitation. A picture with the president is $10,000 and just attending the reception is $1,000.

WSOC reports on President Trump’s visit and fundraising efforts, along with the potential redistricting and what that may mean in the upcoming November election –

The visit comes amid doubts about the future of North Carolina’s House districts. This week a three-judge panel ruled the state’s districts were illegal partisan gerrymanders. The judges found the GOP-controlled legislature redrew district lines in 2016 to mix and match Democratic voters so as to ensure Republicans could retain ten of the state’s 13 congressional seats.

It’s not the first court ruling throwing out GOP-drawn Congressional maps this year. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court in January found that state’s map to be unfairly drawn in favor of Republicans. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from state Republicans and the new districts stood.

If the federal panel’s ruling in North Carolina is ultimately upheld and elections are held under new maps this year, the benefit for Democrats could be striking. In Monday’s ruling, the court singled out a proposed map offered by the plaintiffs that could result in six Democratic districts in North Carolina – double the party’s current number of seats.

While a decision on whether the maps must be redrawn is still pending, the candidates are pushing forward as normal with their campaigns.

The 9th District has favored Republicans for decades, but it was redrawn in 2016 to span the eastern Charlotte suburbs, then along the South Carolina border toward Fayetteville.

The 13th District, which covers suburban areas near Greensboro in the Piedmont Triad region, supported Trump over Hillary Clinton by 9 percentage points in the 2016 presidential election. But in the face of a midterm backlash against the party in power, Democrats have a good shot at taking the seats. Harris, a Baptist minister, narrowly won an expensive, bitter primary campaign against 9th District GOP incumbent Robert Pittenger in the spring, but it drained his campaign funds. He now faces McCready, a business owner with a military record and a strong religious background.

President Trump Announced How He Just Got Mexico To Pay For The Wall

* By

When President Trump said he would have Mexico pay for the wall on our southern border, he meant it. He just announced how they are going to do it too… through the USMCA (the revision of NAFTA). Which I suspect was the plan all along.

Very early this morning at about 4:38 am, Trump tweeted: “I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!”

For those doubters on Twitter (and you will see some of them below), I highly doubt the plan was ever to have Mexico pay for the wall up front. We would fund the wall and recoup the funding from Mexico. I don’t see what is so hard to understand about that. But it seems to be a financial move many can’t seem to grasp and that is beyond their comprehension.

I fully support that if Congress just won’t fund the wall, having the military build it through Pentagon funding and then reimbursing them for it. Why? Because it is a national security issue and always has been. That border is a clear and present danger.

Why shouldn’t Trump have Mexico pay through the USMCA? And why all the negativity from people who are obviously poorly informed and just politically biased? They let their hate for the president dictate all their thoughts and actions rather than looking at the mechanics of the move and the benefits from it. I just don’t get these people. They have not even given this a chance and already they are shooting it down. That’s a leftist for you.

Check out the moves on Twitter over this:

Most of these people don’t seem to get that a great deal of the funding for the wall was approved before Trump started all of this. I have never seen so many people so intent on leaving themselves open to attack. What a bunch of foolish, self-involved individuals. Just sad. Build the wall whatever it takes and do it fast before one of our many enemies gets a chance to severely cripple this nation once again.

Three Clinton Foundation Whistleblowers Will Testify This Coming Week, “Explosive” Allegations to Come…

* By

“With regard to the investigation, which doesn’t get a lot of attention, into the Clinton foundation, the DOJ designated John Huber to look into this. They have 6,000 pages of evidence that they’ve gone through. The foundation raised $2.5 billion, and they’re looking into potential improprieties. What’s next on this investigation?” the Fox News host questioned Congressman Meadows.

“Well, I think for the American people, they want to bring some closure, not just a few sound bites, here or there, so we’re going to be having a hearing this week, not only covering over some of those 6,000 pages that you’re talking about, but hearing directly from three whistleblowers that have actually spent the majority of the last two years investigating this,” Meadows answered.

The Gateway Pundit reports:

Some of the allegations they make are quite explosive, Martha and as we just look at the contributions — now everybody’s focused on the contributions for the Clinton Foundation and what has happened just in the last year, but if you look at it, you know, it had a very strong rise, the minute she was selected as Secretary of State — then it dipped down when she was no longer there and then rose again, when she decided to run for president. So there’s all kinds of allegations of you know, pay-to-play and that kind of thing, “Meadows said.

Take a look:

In the three years following Hillary Clinton’s departure from her position in the State Department, the Clinton Foundation donations dropped by 90%.

The Gateway Pundit writes, “Hillary Clinton left the State Department in 2013 and it looks like nobody wants to pay since she can no longer play.”

Currently, the Clinton Foundation is being put under investigation by the Justice Department and the FBI for a whole plethora of reasons.

The Hill reports that the Clinton Foundation is also being investigated by the IRS in order to find out whether or not any “tax-exempt assets were converted for personal or political use.”

Numerous Clinton emails backing up the idea that the Clinton Foundation was involved in “pay-to-play” schemes during Clinton’s time serving as the head of the Department of State have been found by Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.
