President Trump Takes Swift Action To Stop Liberal Billionaires Dead In Their Tracks

Published

on

For a long time now we have all known that the social media giants are basically silencing conservative voices out there. The fact that this is brazenly happening in the open incenses President Trump and Americans. Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, and others should consider where this censorship leads… and it is nowhere good for them and their longevity.

Conservatives find themselves in the precarious position of ‘needing’ social media and being unable to stop the persecution of those on the right. Their voices are being silenced more and more. I’ve talked to many who just don’t know what to do and no billionaire on the right seems willing to take the initiative and risk building a fair social media platform out there.

Enter President Trump who is apparently working on this Gordian Knot behind the scenes. Supposedly, a leaked draft of a potential executive order from the White House is making the rounds at the media outlets. It aims to bring accountability to the standard operating procedures of social media giants.

The White House is reportedly working on a memorandum for President Donald Trump to sign that would direct government agencies to “thoroughly investigate” big tech companies like Google and Facebook on their bias against conservatives. They would also look into these companies and any attempts at swaying elections.

I have said for quite a while now, hit them in their wallets by taking away government funding and their status as unbiased social platforms. That would really hurt their profits and they obviously are not ‘unbiased’ and never really were. Lawfare and utilizing taxation status as a form of sanctions is the kind of thing the left would do, so why not fight fire with fire?

I watched as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) grilled Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook fame. He just wouldn’t answer Cruz’s questions because he knew the real answers were damning. Although Zuckerberg and others deny censorship, what is happening out in the open at their companies says the exact opposite.

The leaked draft specifically refers to a social media company’s “exercise of bias” as one way it could exercise “market power in a way that harms consumers.” That is very, very true. It has already happened to a number of large conservative outlets. The document is just preliminary but it shows that Trump is looking into how to take swift action to stop these liberal billionaires from silencing those they don’t agree with.

From the Conservative Tribune:

“Business Insider published excerpts of the draft order. Its focus centers on investigative authority of anti-trust violations by social media giants.

“… Because of their critical role in American society, it is essential that American citizens are protected from anticompetitive acts by dominant online platforms. Vibrant competition in the online ecosystem is essential to ensuring accountability for the platforms that hold so much sway over our economy and democratic process.”

“Section 2. Agency Responsibilities. (a) Executive departments and agencies with authorities that could be used to enhance competition among online platforms (agencies) shall, where consistent with other laws, use those authorities to promote competition and ensure that no online platform exercises market power in a way that harms consumers, including through the exercise of bias.”

“… (b) Agencies with authority to investigate anti-competitive conduct shall thoroughly investigate whether any online platform has acted in violation of the antitrust laws, as defined in subsection (a) of the first section of the Clayton Act, 15 U.S.C. § 12, or any other law intended to protect competition.”

“Trump’s comments on Twitter seem to validate the complaints of conservatives that social media titans are stacking the deck against their voice.

“Bloomberg reported that social media companies have acknowledged to “erroneous” targeting of figures on both sides of the political spectrum, but have fallen short of confirming a liberal bias in their operations.

“Social media companies have acknowledged in congressional hearings that their efforts to enforce prohibitions against online harassment have sometimes led to the erroneous punishment of political figures on both the left and the right and that once discovered, those mistakes have been corrected. They say there’s no systematic effort to silence conservative voices.”

“It’s not a stretch to say that the only people who believe that are liberals.”

These social media giants are private businesses. We should proceed very cautiously when it comes to government interference in private business operations. We must be mindful of constitutional precedent here and not have the federal government step in on this. It’s one of the reasons this situation is so hard to navigate. They are using our own freedoms against us here.

The anti-trust approach may be the effective and fair way to bring justice to a situation in which conservatives have felt oppressed at the hands of liberal bias. Conservatives, especially constitutional conservatives, don’t want the government interfering in private businesses. It smacks of fascism.

But using anti-trust laws is another matter entirely. Perhaps if these social media titans realize what is waiting in the wings if they don’t clean up their acts, they will reconsider their censorship. And they fear President Trump. Maybe they should.

Congress Just Blindsided Lib Sanctuary Cities – Democrats Now In Major Trouble

Democrats don’t seem to take President Donald Trump seriously when he says what he wants to happen and is prepared to do it. He’s never made a promise he hasn’t kept since he’s been in office. Now, they’re learning the hard way that the president and the Republican majority in Congress mean what they say.

Congress just took action to make America great again, blindsiding liberals. They’re serious about cleaning up so-called Sanctuary cities and punishing leaders who refuse to follow orders. Cities that continue to allow anyone and everyone to come in illegally and tap our resources, are soon going to pay a big price for it.

Roll Call reports:

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy has introduced legislation that includes more than $23 billion for President Donald Trump’s border security agenda and numerous enforcement provisions aimed at cracking down on sanctuary cities and undocumented criminals, a proposal that could boost his bid to lead the House GOP after next month’s elections.

The California Republican introduced the bill on Friday after visiting the El Paso, Texas, sector of the southern border on Thursday.

The majority leader said he was “awed by the magnitude of the border and the bravery of the officers who patrol it.”
“I also came away with greater conviction of the need to support these officers by giving them the resources they need: More agents, technology, and most importantly the Wall,” said McCarthy in a news release.

Specifically, the legislation text includes $16.6 billion for wall construction and $6.8 billion for infrastructure and technology improvements for the Border Patrol.

It also includes several smaller Republican immigration proposals, many of which have already passed the House. Among them are provisions drawn from a bill that would raise mandatory minimum penalties for undocumented immigrants who repeatedly cross the border and others taken from legislation to strip funding from sanctuary cities.

McCarthy’s bill does not include a provision to legalize so-called Dreamers, young undocumented immigrants brought to the country as children, or to help reunite migrant parents who remain separated from their children because of the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance border security policy.

It’s unclear if or when the House might vote on McCarthy’s bill. Even if it passes, the proposal would almost certainly stall in the Senate, where Democrats who oppose the border wall and support a path to legal status for Dreamers can block any legislation requiring 60 votes to pass.

Politically, it could excite Republican voters ahead of the midterm elections next month. It also signals to GOP lawmakers in Congress that McCarthy supports a hard line on immigration.

McCarthy is one of the Republicans vying to lead the GOP conference next year as speaker or minority leader following the retirement of Speaker Paul D. Ryan, R-Wis. Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio is also in contention and Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana has expressed interest if McCarthy falters.

Trump wants funding for the border wall to be a post-election priority for Republican lawmakers, and has repeatedly said he would shut down the government if Congress doesn’t approve it.

Both McCarthy’s bill and the House’s fiscal 2019 Homeland Security appropriations bill, which was approved in committee this summer but tabled until after the midterms, would appropriate $5 billion for border barriers in the current spending cycle, while the Senate’s more bipartisan bill would approve $1.6 billion — the amount the Trump administration’s budget requested.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told the Washington Examiner on Thursday he’s planning to seek $5 billion for the wall after the elections.

Senate appropriators from both parties are skeptical, however, of McCarthy’s legislation.

“They ought to have a straight up or down vote on it,” said Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., the Senate Appropriations Committee ranking member. “I believe even today in the Republican-controlled House and Senate, it would not pass.”

Senate Appropriations Chairman Richard C. Shelby, R-Ala., said he would want to read the legislation before making a final decision, but noted that appropriators are still trying to work out differences between the House and Senate Homeland Security spending bills.

“I’m not against the wall. I just hope what we do is wise — you know, the way we spend our money,” Shelby said, noting that he expects a “big fight” during the lame duck “because of the different views” on border wall spending.

BREAKING: Major Dem Just Raided By The FBI – Full Corruption Exposed

Things really aren’t going well for Democrats with an assertive and capable leader in the White House intent on “draining the swamp” and holding people accountable. The left knows this, which is why they are going to extreme lengths never seen before. However, now, justice is catching up to them.

The Hill reports that a major Democrat has just been raided by the FBI, which exposed extreme corruption:

FBI agents raided San Juan’s municipal building on Tuesday amid an investigation into purchasing practices used by city officials, including Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz.

Video posted on Twitter shows several uniformed FBI agents proceeding into the building Tuesday morning. Local journalist Luis Guardiola noted in a tweet that dozens of FBI agents were involved in the raid.

A spokesman for the agency told news service elnuevodia.com that Tuesday’s raid was related to an ongoing investigation into whether the mayor’s office and other city officials had shown favoritism when the city agreed to a contract with the company BR Solutions for $4.7 million over two years.

BR Solutions is owned by Leonel Pereira O’Neill, a Puerto Rican businessman who has donated to the campaigns of several local politicians, including Cruz’s, according to the news service.

“The raid helps us to confirm whether the allegations of irregularities are substantiated or not,” FBI spokesman Carlos Osario told the website.

“We are filling out a search warrant, looking for documents and evidence that can support the allegation [of favoritism],” he added.

The raid came several weeks after President Trump singled out Cruz while attacking Puerto Rican officials for the slow recovery efforts on the island, accusing the municipal officials of allowing widespread corruption.

“It was a total mess, it was corrupt — couldn’t be worse,” Trump said in an interview last month. “The storms hit and they said, ‘Oh let’s blame Trump for the electric, let’s have Trump — let’s have Trump fix the electric plant,’ which takes a long time to rebuild it, which is a big deal.”

Cruz reacted to the raid in a series of tweets Tuesday morning, pledging her office’s full cooperation with authorities.

“At the moment, members of the FBI are intervening in the Municipal Tower of San Juan. My instructions as always are of total collaboration,” Cruz wrote in Spanish on Twitter.

“At this time, I do not have more information. We all have the duty to collaborate to clarify this situation. If someone has done something wrong, must be subjected to a due process and face the consequences of their actions, ” she added.
