Sarah Sanders Issues Scathing Response To Dem Donor After Kavanaugh Moved Forward Today

Published

on

I’ve watched a big part of the Kavanaugh hearings and the testimony related to charges from Christine Blasey Ford concerning alleged sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh. I walked away convinced more than ever of Kavanaugh’s innocence in all this and with the opinion that what is happening in front of us amounts to a conspiracy by the left to stop Kavanaugh, no matter what it takes. I’m not alone in that belief either.

One of the stars in all this has been Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). He has aggressively defended Kavanaugh and has adamantly said that he will not destroy a man’s life with next to no evidence proving that he did anything wrong. He’s really ticked at the Senate and disgusted in general. Right there with him on that.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders applauded Graham and his impassioned defense of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. She also took a hefty wack at the Democrats over how they have handled the whole confirmation process. And it left a mark.

Graham showed that he was more in the mold of Spartacus than Corey Booker could ever dream of being by speaking just a few words at the end of the hearing yesterday.

He held nothing back and launched into a full-throated, southern condemnation of the Democrats for turning the confirmation process into an “unethical sham” that had created a living “hell” for Kavanaugh and calling on his fellow Republicans to confirm the nominee, or else legitimize “the most despicable thing I have seen in my time in politics.” I think I may have just gained respect for Graham after all these years.

Sanders then took to Twitter in praise of Graham after his magnificent monologue. “[Sen. Lindsey Graham] has more decency and courage than every Democrat member of the committee combined,” she wrote. “God bless him.” Graham was more of a man yesterday than I have seen in that chamber in some time.

From The Daily Wire:

“Graham began by pointing out that the Democratic leadership, in particular, Sen. Chuck Schumer, declared within minutes of Kavanaugh’s nomination their intentions of doing everything in their power to block his confirmation. Graham then informed Kavanaugh that by the time he met with ranking Senate Judiciary Committee Democrat Dianne Feinstein on August 20, her office had already recommended a lawyer to his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. They’d had the allegation by that point for over 20 days, said Graham.

“Graham then looked over at his Democrat counterparts and said: “If you wanted an FBI investigation, you could have come to us. What you want to do is destroy this guy’s life, hold this seat open and hope you win in 2020. You’ve said that, not me.”

“Turning back to Kavanaugh, Graham said: “You’ve got nothing to apologize for. When you see Sotomayor and Kagan, tell them that Lindsey said hello because I voted for them.”

“Pointing his finger back at the Democrats, Graham said: “I would never do to them what you’ve done to this guy. This is the most unethical sham since I’ve been in politics. And if you really wanted to know the truth, you sure as hell wouldn’t have done what you’ve done to this guy.”

“I cannot imagine what you and your family have gone through,” he said to Kavanaugh before again turning to the Democrats on his left: “Boy, you all want power. God, I hope you never get it. I hope the American people can see through this sham. That you knew about it and you held it. You had no intention of protecting Dr. Ford. None.”

“She’s as much of a victim as you are,” he said to Kavanaugh. “God, I hate to say it because these have been my friends, but let me tell you when it comes to this, you’re looking for a fair process, you came to the town at the wrong time, my friend. This is going to destroy the ability of good people to come forward because of this crap.”

“The salacious accusations against Kavanaugh in high school, Graham suggested, are simply not believable. “You have interacted with professional women all your life, not one accusation. You’re supposed to be Bill Cosby when you’re a junior and senior in high school. And all of a sudden you got over it. It’s been my understanding that if you drug women and rape them for two years in high school, you probably don’t stop. Here’s my understanding. If you lived a good life, people would recognize it like the American Bar Association has the gold standard. ‘His integrity is absolutely unquestioned. He is very circumspect in his personal conduct, harbors no biases or prejudices. He’s entirely ethical. He’s a really decent person. He is warm, friendly, unassuming. He’s the nicest person.'”

“Graham finished by issuing a strong charge to his fellow Republicans: “To my Republican colleagues: If you vote no, you are legitimizing the most despicable thing I have seen in my time in politics.” He turned to the Democrats: “You want this seat? I hope you never get it.” Then back to Kavanaugh: “I hope you are on the Supreme Court. That is exactly where you should be and I hope the American people will see through this charade. And I wish you well. And I intend to vote for you and I hope everybody that is fair-minded will.'”

Because Sanders had the temerity to praise Graham for doing and saying the right thing, she was viciously attacked on Twitter. Frank Aquila, a partner at a prominent law firm headquartered in New York City (where else?), told Sanders to “rot in hell” on Twitter in response to her praise of Graham.

“@PressSec I never knew you had a sense of humor OMG!!!! How funny!!!! Rot in Hell you B!tch,” Aquila tweeted along with a number of several laughing emojis. Sullivan & Cromwell LLP is a huge and prestigious law firm. I’ve worked with them on occasion. I can’t imagine this went over well there. But who knows?

In a now-deleted tweet, the Sullivan & Cromwell LLP partner quote-tweeted Sanders praising Graham for having “more decency and courage than every Democrat member of the committee combined.” “God bless him,” Sanders added. He didn’t just delete that tweet, by the way, he deleted his whole Twitter account after it hit the fan for his vileness.

Even New York Magazine journalist Yashar Ali called Aquila out for his hypocrisy. “This is how bad things have gotten. A major corporate lawyer like @FAquila calling a woman a b*tch to somehow defend a woman who talked about her sexual violence trauma today. Everything is terrible,” Ali tweeted. Too true.

This morning, Sanders issued a scathing response to the Kavanaugh hearing and probably to Aquila as well. While appearing in an interview with “Good Morning America,” the press secretary supported Kavanaugh and expressed her sympathies for Ford, but did not back down from the Democratic Party. Good for her.

“While I believe something bad happened to this woman and I think it is absolutely awful and horrific — not what she went through just 36 years ago, but also what she had to go through [at the hearing] — and I think that it is absolutely disgraceful the way that the Democrats have used and exploited this process,” Sanders said. “I think they, frankly, owe an apology to both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh.”

Sanders response was pure class and right on target as usual. I’m afraid she will wait until hell freezes over before those apologies materialize though. Although the Senate is beginning to resemble the seventh circle of hell these days. Just sayin’.

GOP Announced That They’re Confirming Trump’s Picks – Dems About To UNLOAD

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by Washington Times:

Republican senators will work through New Year’s Eve to confirm all of President Trump’s pending judicial nominees before the end of the year if Democrats try to obstruct the confirmation votes, Republican Sen. Tom Cotton said Wednesday.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, has made remaking the federal bench with a conservative bent a priority, and has more than 40 judicial nominees awaiting floor votes.

Before leaving Capitol Hill prior to the midterms, Republicans vowed to get them all confirmed during the lame-duck session before the incoming Congress begins in January.

“I know that Sen. McConnell has made a commitment that we’re not going to leave any judges behind over these next two months,” the Arkansas Republican told conservative host Hugh Hewitt.

He said Democrats have shown unprecedented obstruction, demanding the maximum amount of floor time to debate the president’s judicial picks.

“So it’s really up to them whether they want to confirm those on Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, or whether they want to confirm them earlier in December by yielding back the time,” Mr. Cotton said.

It’s not clear how much is possible.

Republicans and Democrats have been striking deals this year to go on vacation but before leaving confirming as many nominees as would have been approved had the Senate remained in session.

For example, before leaving Washington a month ago before the midterm elections, GOP leaders struck a deal with Democrats to confirm 15 judicial nominees.

While the Senate was away, the Judiciary Committee held confirmation hearings for 10 more judicial nominees over objections from Democrats.

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the committee, sent a letter to Chairman Chuck Grassley, Iowa Republican, Tuesday demanding a second hearing for them.

No Democrats and fewer than three GOP members of the committee appeared at the hearings where three circuit court picks were considered.

“Every other Senate committee that had previously scheduled hearings when the Senate went into recess postponed their hearings. And, as you know, holding nominations hearings during a recess had never been done before in this committee without the consent of the minority,” Ms. Feinstein said in her letter.

President Trump Just Put Brenda Snipes In Her Place – She’s DONE!

Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes has come under extreme fire for her handling of the 2018 midterm elections in her county. This isn’t the first time she’s been embroiled in election scandals either. It’s probably a stew of corruption and incompetence. Either way, President Trump is no fan of hers.

Trump is calling Snipes a ‘disgrace’. He’s putting her in her place and calling for her to be fired and removed from office. The president gave The Daily Caller the scoop on his opinion of Snipes and her handling of the voting in Broward County:

President Donald Trump believes that the embattled Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes is a “disgrace” and that she should be fired and removed from office.

The president spoke to The Daily Caller in an exclusive, wide-ranging interview Wednesday at the White House. The president did not mince words when asked about Snipes and the Florida recount.

Snipes has come under fire by media and elected Republicans alike for multiple irregularities in her vote reporting. After the Florida Senate race was called for Republican Gov. Rick Scott on election night, election supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach counties were still adding votes to their tally, in violation of Florida reporting law. In the subsequent days, Snipes defied a judge’s order to submit “over-voted” and “under-voted” absentee ballots for public review and admitted to “accidentally” mixing illegal ballots in with good ones. The illegal ballots “cannot be identified” now, according to Snipes.

TheDC asked the president specifically if he considers this behavior illegal and what Snipes future in her role as an election official should be.

“She’s a disaster,” Trump said of Snipes.

He pointed to Snipes’ past alleged election illegality, which included destroying ballots and opening ballots illegally.

“You look at her past, she’s a disaster,” Trump said, “Even with me. I won Florida and, you remember? That area, Broward, didn’t come in,” Trump said of Broward County, Fla. and Snipes. “You can only put in so many votes, although she may change that system.”

“When they call this woman incompetent, they’re wrong,” Trump said of Snipes. “She’s very competent but in a bad way.”

When asked directly by TheDC if Snipes should be removed from office, Trump said, “Oh, she should have been removed — I think she should have been removed in the middle of this mix-up.”

Scott has considered removing Snipes.

Trump went on to say they should’ve called Florida during the evening of the election. “Well, many votes were added to that, and, you know what’s going on. And now they have mixed them up. They mixed the votes up and now you can’t find the ones that were put in, they just put ’em into a batch.”

The president renewed his call for national voter ID laws and decried illegal voting.

“The Republicans don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes,” Trump complained. “When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

“If you buy a box of cereal — you have a voter ID,” Trump continued. “They try to shame everybody by calling them racist or calling them something, anything they can think of when you say you want voter ID. But voter ID is a very important thing.”

When asked about how to prevent a repeat situation in the 2020 presidential election, Trump bluntly said Snipes needed to go, along with her “cronies.”

“First thing you do is fire her and her cronies. You get ’em out,” Trump said, recalling his own election night in 2016. “Remember how long it took to get Florida? But I had, fortunately, enough votes, and they were sitting there waiting. They said, ‘Broward County is not reporting.’ This went on for hours.”

Trump continued, “The panhandle was so devastating to ‘Crooked Hillary’ — that thing came in, then all of a sudden Broward came in. And I won by, you know, I won by a lot of votes. I call it four Yankee stadiums.”

Election workers in Florida are attempting to meet a 3:00 p.m. deadline on Thursday to finish their statewide recount for the Senate and Gubernatorial races.
