Senator Chuck Schumer In Trouble: Three Democrats Are Ready To Jump From The Ship

Published

on

Good ol’ Charles Schumer could be in trouble as several members of the Democratic Party are about to jump from his ship and hop on another. Chuck wants to fight the selection of newly announced Brett Kavanaugh and his nomination to the Supreme Court. Of course Chuck wants to do that, because what else does Chuck Schumer serve a purpose for if not to exist simply to fight against every single thing that President Trump wants to do? It seems like Schumer’s only job in politics is opposition to anything Trump or members of the GOP would like to try. If not for right wing politics, then Schumer would be out of a job. Nevertheless, they persist and now several of Chuckie’s pals might not be interested in fighting the same pointless battles that he’s trying to engage in.

People like Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, and Joe Donnelly of Indiana are rooting against Schumer’s actions and don’t wish to be bullied by the big-mouth sidekick of Nancy Pelosi.

“Chuck Schumer says he’s going to fight Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court with “everything I’ve got.” To do so, he’ll need to get centrist Democrats to hold the line.

The minority leader’s problem? Those Democrats say he can’t tell them what to do.

“I’ll be 71 years old in August, you’re going to whip me? Kiss my you know what,” said Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) when asked if Schumer can influence his vote.

Kavanaugh’s nomination is already a huge headache for the Senate minority leader. Not only is he under pressure from the left to tank the nominee, Schumer also has a half-dozen vulnerable members from red and purple states up for reelection this fall. To defeat Kavanaugh, Schumer has to keep all 49 of his members in tow and convince at least one moderate Republican to break ranks.

But it could prove impossible for Schumer to persuade senators like Manchin, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Joe Donnelly of Indiana to vote against Kavanaugh. All three supported Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch last year, and all three say that their decision won’t be swayed by Schumer no matter what he does this year.

“My decision won’t have anything to do with Chuck Schumer,” Donnelly said.

“I’m going to vote the way I’m going to vote regardless of what the leader says,’ Heitkamp said.

It may be good politics for them to distance themselves from Schumer, who is close to the caucus’s moderates and helped elect many of them. Republicans are attacking vulnerable Democrats for their association with Schumer, so they‘re doing what they can do create daylight from a party leader that all of them voted for in the most recent leadership election.

Yet that distance will hamstring Schumer’s ability to stop Kavanaugh’s nomination. If his red-state Democrats vote “no” on Kavanaugh, they’ll inevitably be accused of kowtowing to the New Yorker.

Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said that’s reason enough for Schumer to tread carefully with the Democrats most likely to back President Donald Trump’s nominee.

“Chuck knows better [than to twist arms] and I do, too,” Durbin said. “These are men and women who will make an historic, important, legal and personal judgment.”

Schumer declined to comment for this story. But for now, Democrats say, it looks like Schumer agrees with Durbin on a hands-off approach.

Yet some in the party argue that’s an ineffective strategy.”

Schumer is 67-years-old, two years beyond the date he should have retired. Doesn’t the Democratic Party want some new faces who will be less partisan, less annoying, and more logical and use more common sense? Most of what people like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and Maxine Waters attempt seem to be out of this world and senseless. It’s like they don’t use logic or common sense when making their political decisions, but rather they chime into discussions with things simply to oppose Trump. What’s their problem? Are they still mad that Hillary Clinton lost the election in 2016 to some guy who hangs out on Twitter and uses tanning products? It sure sounds like it!

Trump might have his flaws on social media or in the tanning booth, but he’s going down as one of the best presidents this country ever had.

Chuckie and his pals wanted to see the first woman president, but Hillary wasn’t a good candidate and her campaign was even worse.

Trump is going down in history as the greatest president we’ve had in a very long time, if not the greatest ever. He’s caused a major shakeup in politics, shaking everyone on both sides to their core, and now he has people like Schumer wrapped around his finger.

Trump lives in their heads, rent-free.

Hop on the ‘Trump Train,’ because it’s steaming through town and not slowing down.

Here’s What Just Happened To The Number Of Incoming Dems Supporting Trump Impeachment

Published

on

And just like the right was predicting all along it’s starting to look like a very small number of newly elected House Democrats are actually putting impeachment at the top of their agenda. Even after all the noise, they made these past two years where they accused President Trump of every criminal act they could dream of.

Here is more via The Daily Caller:

“The number of newly elected Democrats in the House of Representatives who are putting immediate impeachment at the top of their agenda is surprisingly small for the level of chatter the subject has received since Donald Trump became president, according to an analysis of their statements.

As the freshmen class of House Democrats heads to Capitol Hill for orientation, an analysis from The Washington Post revealed Tuesday that only 11, or 21 percent, have said they want to immediately begin the impeachment process for Trump.

Thirteen Democratic freshmen oppose the move despite the loud impeachment calls early on in his presidency by Democrats.

The largest chunk of the cohort, 17 individuals or 33 percent, said they’d prefer to wait until special counsel Robert Mueller releases his team’s report on the Russia investigation before deciding to move forward with impeachment.

The remaining 11 Democratic House freshmen have not commented or made strong arguments either way, according to the analysis. (RELATED: A Record Number Of Women Ran For Office, But Did They Win?)

While it is unknown when Mueller will release his findings on whether Trump or his circle had any involvement in Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, top Democrats have used the report as a point of contingency, and in turn have slowed down impeachment talks in recent weeks.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said he hopes Democrats wait until the Mueller report is out before moving forward with impeachment in an Oct. 18 interview with CBS.

“I hope they don’t. I don’t think there’s a basis for doing that right now,” Biden, a current Democratic favorite for a potential bid to the 2020 presidency, said. “There are so many things to attend to immediately. Let’s see where the investigation takes us.”

House Minority Leader and potential Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi took a slightly different approach in a Sunday interview with The Atlantic, saying that while she doesn’t want to impeach Trump, the Mueller probe will not define that decision.

“Recognize one point,” Pelosi said. “What Mueller might not think is indictable could be impeachable.”

A Politico/Morning Consult poll released Monday revealed the majority of Americans, 51 percent of voters, don’t support impeachment either.

While a little more than half of overall voters say the Democratic-controlled House should not begin the impeachment process for Trump, the majority of Democrats, 61 percent, want Congress to begin the proceedings in 2019.”

Could this be because they really do know all this rhetoric was only so they could gain power again and nothing else?

Good luck explaining this to the far left wing “mob” you all created!
