President Donald Trump opened up a bit about his First Lady Melania and what he said painted a very perfect picture that many people forget about. Not only is she the wife of the President of the United States of America, but she’s also a human, and like most other humans, she deals with everyday nonsense just like everyone else. Her status as the first lady doesn’t remove her from the everyday struggle of living life and getting things done, but it has actually intensified it and put even more pressure on her to succeed and perform at the highest level possible. Normal folks like us can mess up and no one really notices, but when she does – everyone finds out. Trump touched on this topic a bit as he talked about Melania and how she deals with the publicity. Much of the publicity is a result of Donald being the president, but it comes with the territory of the job.
Trump reminded people of how terrific she is, even while all the nonsense with the press is going on. She’s handling it well, it appears, and that’s great that she’s not buckling under the pressure. Everything from surgery, dealing with rancid celebrity attacks, to protests, and then even Melania pushing back a little bit with her very funny jacket that had a hilarious message on the back and was aimed directly at the mainstream media as her way to “troll” them and get herself in the news. It was like she knew exactly what she was doing because she knew right away that a photograph of that jacket saying “I really don’t care, do u?” would immediately make headlines. She was right. It did. She controlled the press that day, it wasn’t the other way around. All she had to do was put on her jacket and immediately she was on the front page of many, many websites.
The Daily Mail chimed in with this:
“President Donald Trump said his wife Melania Trump ‘goes through a lot with all this publicity’ but lavished praise on the first lady as a ‘terrific woman’ who is ‘doing great.’
“But a lot of the publicity Melania Trump goes through is due to her husband’s actions, policies, words or tweets.
“The White House is currently embroiled in the fallout from his former fixer Michael Cohen’s guilty pleas in federal court, which included an admission of campaign finance violations tied to payments made to two women who claimed to have affairs with Trump while he was married to Melania.
“Although she has generated press coverage on her own – usually through her fashion choices, such as the infamous ‘I really don’t care, do u?’ jacket she wore during a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border or her ‘pussy bow’ blouse donned for a presidential debate.
“Given that the first lady has given no media interviews she came into the White House, her fashion choices and her public appearances have to speak for her.
“Trump often lavishes praise on her and brags how she supports him and his work.
“‘She is doing great. She’s a terrific woman,’ Trump told Fox News in an interview that aired Thursday morning. ‘She goes through a lot with all this publicity. But she’s a terrific woman, she’s doing great.’
“He also touts the first lady’s work at his campaign rallies and reassures the crowd she is watching at home.
“The first lady has not spoken publicly about the alleged affairs Trump had with porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal, which the president has denied.
“She has maintained a private presence despite her public role with the majority of her focus in the White House being on raising her 12-year-old son Barron.
“She also maintains her own causes, her own agenda, and her own living habits – she and the president are said to have their own bedrooms both in the White House and, when they travel abroad, use separate hotel suites.
“Melania Trump has made her voice and opinions known through other means – statements via her communication director in the East Wing, promoting her ‘Be Best’ campaign through carefully orchestrated events, and her fashion choices.
“And she will make her first, major, solo international trip in October when she visits several countries in Africa.
“But those events can be overshadowed by her husband.
“Critics ask how she can focus on cyberbullying when her husband uses social media to lash out at those he sees as against him and it was noted that her visit to Africa would be to places her husband referred to as ‘s***hole countries.'”
One thing to note about this dynamic duo is the level of independence they both have. Donald might be making jokes about a “s***hole country” but there’s Melania actually visiting the country and doing something productive. Donald and Melania compliment each other and are having a wild level of success in the White House considering all the hate and nonsense they’ve received from their opposition.
They’re setting records and those are facts that no one can dispute.
After Kavanaugh Accuser’s Latest Demand, Trump Puts An End To The Charade
The woman who is accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of an alleged sexual assault from 36 years ago is now saying the FBI should investigate the incident before senators hold a hearing on the allegations.
In a letter sent to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa, and obtained by CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” Christine Blasey Ford’s attorneys is now making the argument that “a full investigation by law enforcement officials will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner and that the Committee is fully informed before conducting any hearing or making any decisions.”
Here is more on this via CNN:
“Dr. Ford’s testimony would reflect her personal knowledge and memory of events,” Grassley said. “Nothing the FBI or any other investigator does would have any bearing on what Dr. Ford tells the committee, so there is no reason for any further delay.”
A Justice Department spokesperson said the FBI had forwarded the initial letter from Sen. Dianne Feinstein on September 12 to the White House counsel’s office in accordance with guidelines for conducting background checks.
The spokesperson noted that the allegation “does not involve any potential federal crime,” and said if the FBI becomes aware of new information that raises suitability questions about a nominee or appointee, the agency will inform the White House, which is an existing agreement.
According to the spokesperson, the FBI “does not make any judgment about the credibility or significance of any allegation.”
The letter comes after a day of uncertainty about whether the hearing scheduled for Monday would even take place, as Republicans continued to emphasize their repeated efforts to reach out to Ford.
Last week, news surrounding a private letter that had been sent to Feinstein, Democrat of California, raised potential questions about Kavanaugh’s nomination. Feinstein later announced she had given the letter to the FBI. On Sunday, The Washington Post published a story that detailed Ford’s personal account of an incident that Ford said took place when she and Kavanaugh were both in high school.
Ford alleges that while at a party, Kavanaugh pushed her into a bedroom along with his former classmate Mark Judge, and attempted to remove her clothes. She also alleges that Kavanaugh put her hand over her mouth when she attempted to scream. Kavanaugh has denied the incident, and he and Judge both deny being at the party in question.
“This is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone. Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday,” Kavanaugh said in a statement. “I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the committee deems appropriate to refute this false allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity.”
The public accusation led Grassley on Monday to announce that the committee would convene next Monday to give both Kavanaugh and Ford the opportunity to publicly testify, as both had indicated a willingness to do so.
But as of Tuesday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Republicans had yet to hear from Ford or her lawyer regarding their request for her to testify.
“What we’re saying is there should be an investigation because that’s the right thing to do,” Banks said.
“She is prepared to cooperate with the committee and with any law enforcement investigation,” she added.
Democrats have pushed back on the hearing. All 10 Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter on Tuesday to FBI Director Christopher Wray and White House counsel Don McGahn arguing that the FBI should conduct an investigation prior to a hearing.
“The Committee should have the completed report before any hearing occurs and we ask that you take immediate steps to make sure that we have the FBI’s report before we proceed,” the senators wrote.
Feinstein said in a statement she supported Ford’s proposal.
“We should honor Dr. Blasey Ford’s wishes and delay this hearing. A proper investigation must be completed, witnesses interviewed, evidence reviewed and all sides spoken to. Only then should the chairman set a hearing date,” Feinstein said in a news release.
“I hope that each and every one of us will immediately denounce the horrific treatment of Dr. Blasey Ford. That this brave woman is receiving death threats and has been forced to flee with her family is appalling and heartbreaking. This abuse must stop. We’re better than this.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat, also supported Ford’s proposal.
“Dr. Ford’s call for the FBI to investigate also demonstrates her confidence that when all the facts are examined by an impartial investigation, her account will be further corroborated and confirmed,” Schumer said in a statement. “Senate Republicans and the White House should drop their inexplicable opposition to an FBI investigation, allow all the facts to come out, and then proceed with a fair process in the Senate. Dr. Ford’s life has already been badly disrupted by death threats and other intimidation. She deserves to be treated with respect and fairness by the Senate.”
However, Sen. Orrin Hatch, a Utah Republican, countered Ford’s proposal on Twitter Tuesday night, arguing, “The FBI does not do investigations like this.”
The letter goes on trying to make the argument that although she has received a “stunning amount” of support from her community she has also been the target of death threats and has been forced to vacate her home because of this.
But now The Right Scoop is reporting that President Trump has had enough of this left wing partisan charade.
The President made it very clear he thinks that all this proves is that Ford doesn’t want to testify. She knows the FBI has passed on it since it isn’t even in their jurisdiction and any investigation isn’t going to happen anytime soon. He added that he feels this is all a way for her to try and save face without this going any further.
Trump ended his statement by adding, “So let’s just cancel everything and vote already. This farce has gone long enough.”
The left is now trying to involve their Obama weaponized FBI in a case that they have to jurisdiction over. Whatever alleged happened 36 years ago wasn’t a federal crime, and no reason to involve the FBI. The President is right, all this is is just a way to have an excuse to not testify because nothing ever happened and she wants to save face. Too late Ford!
Trump Announces His ‘Crowning Achievement,’ Sets FBI Swamp On Fire
As the sheer depths of corruption contained within the ranks of the FBI continues to be revealed, President Donald Trump stated in a recent interview that he believes that transparency is necessary to reveal to the American people that the Russia collusion case is based on a hoax. By ordering the release of classified documents, President Trump plans to expose this significant corruption for all to see in what could become one of the “crowning achievements” of his presidency.
In a 45-minute interview with Hill.TV, President Trump answered a series of wide-ranging questions from the Oval Office, stating – “What we’ve done is a great service to the country, really. I hope to be able to call this, along with tax cuts and regulation and all the things I’ve done … in it is own way this might be the most important thing because this was corrupt.”
He also expressed his regret that he did not fire former FBI Director James Comey immediately upon ascending the presidency in January 2017, instead of waiting until May 2017.
This is a confirmation of the account given earlier the same day by Trump attorney, Rudy Giuliani, stating President Trump was highly dismayed in 2016 in regards to the way Comey chose to handle the investigation into the Hillary Clinton email investigation. As a result of that, discussions on firing Comey began well prior to President Trump moving into the Oval Office.
President Trump states – “If I did one mistake with Comey, I should have fired him before I got here. I should have fired him the day I won the primaries. I should have fired him right after the convention, say I don’t want that guy. Or at least fired him the first day on the job. … I would have been better off firing him or putting out a statement that I don’t want him there when I get there.”
The Hill reports of the exclusive interview with Hill.TV – “Trump has offered different reasons in the past for his firing of the FBI chief, blaming Comey’s handling of the Clinton case but also linking it to Comey’s actions in the Russia investigation.
The president also called into question the FBI’s handling of the Russia investigation, again criticizing it for surveilling his campaign.
He criticizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court’s approval of the warrant that authorized surveillance of Carter Page, a low-level Trump campaign aide, toward the end of the 2016 presidential race, suggesting the FBI misled the court.
“They know this is one of the great scandals in the history of our country because basically what they did is, they used Carter Page, who nobody even knew, who I feel very badly for, I think he’s been treated very badly. They used Carter Page as a foil in order to surveil a candidate for the presidency of the United States.”
As for the judges on the secret intelligence court: “It looks to me, just based on your reporting, that they have been misled,” the president said, citing a series of columns in The Hill identifying shortcomings in the FBI investigation. “I mean I don’t think we have to go much further than to say that they’ve been misled.”
“One of the things I’m disappointed in is that the judges in FISA didn’t, don’t seem to have done anything about it. I’m very disappointed in that Now, I may be wrong because, maybe as we sit here and talk, maybe they’re well into it. We just don’t know that because I purposely have not chosen to get involved,” Trump said.
The president spared no words in criticizing Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok, lawyer Lisa Page and other FBI officials who started the probe. He recited specific text messages Page and Strzok traded while having an affair and investigating his campaign, arguing the texts showed they condoned leaks and conducted a bogus probe.
Those texts are to be released as a result of Trump’s announcement on Monday.”
President Trump cited a text from a conversation between Strzok and Page in which the two discuss obtaining McCabe’s approval to expand the Russian collusion investigation right after Comey was fired, stating – “It’s a hoax, beyond a witch hunt. Comey was a bad guy. He gets fired. They only have Andy left because they know they’re doing wrong,” as he described the depths of corruption that are readily apparent to anyone looking.
The FBI repeatedly leaked information to mainstream media outlets in an effort to create a false narrative against him in an effort to destroy his presidency if he won as a sort of “insurance policy,” stating – “Number one, how illegal is it? And number two, how low is it?”
He added – “What we have now is an insurance policy. But it has been totally discredited, even Democrats agree that it has been discredited. They are not going to admit to it, but it has been totally discredited. I think, frankly, more so by text than by documents.”
When asked what he hoped to accomplish by declassifying these documents, President Trump responded with – “All I want to do is be transparent. I hope to be able put this up as one of my crowning achievements that I was able to … expose something that is truly a cancer in our country.”
