Trump Just Pulled Plug On The Swamp Getting Rid Of 1200 Of Them – Hell’s About To Break Loose!

Published

on

The government is doing the unthinkable under the Trump administration and it is a very VERY good thing indeed! After growing at a nearly exponential rate under the Bush and Obama administrations, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the leadership of the Trump administration is voluntarily cutting the size of the department.

Less regulation and smaller government is a consistent campaign promise made by President Donald Trump that is coming true…

The EPA is cutting approximately 1,200 jobs as roughly 1,600 employees departed the agency. Less than 400 new employees were hired during President Donald Trump’s first year and a half in office. According to the Washington Post, included among those employees leaving the EPA are “at least 260 scientists, 185 ‘environmental protection specialists’ and 106 engineers.”

WaPo reports, “The exodus has shrunk the agency’s workforce by 8 percent, to levels not seen since the Reagan administration. The trend has continued even after a major round of buyouts last year and despite the fact that the EPA’s budget has remained stable.”

The EPA, along with other government agencies, was placed on a hiring freeze, which also had left 350 positions open as of April, CNN previously reported.

With hundreds of employees accepting buyouts just since last summer, records show that nearly a quarter of the government agency’s remaining 13,758 employees are now at an age where they are considered eligible to retire. At its peak and its most bloated in the late 1990s, the EPA employed more than 18,000 people at the government agency.

Reducing government regulation and especially government agencies are tough. It is consistently and routinely resisted by all those who benefit, including government employees who administer the many programs. Every president since Jimmy Carter has attempted to lower the cost of regulation. At best, any cuts have been tiny and mostly centered on trimming paperwork. But less regulation and a reduction in the size of government itself is one campaign promise made by Donald Trump that is coming true.

“In a statement Friday, Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler said he was focused on right-sizing the EPA, which Republicans have argued overreached under President Barack Obama, burdening industry with regulations such as those focused on climate change.

With nearly half of our employees eligible to retire in the next five years, my priority is recruiting and maintaining the right staff, the right people for our mission, rather than total full-time employees,” he said as WaPo reported.

The EPA is not alone in shrinking its size under the Trump administration either and this is despite the fact that Congress recently passed a $1.3 trillion budget bill back in March 2018 that boosted both military and domestic spending.

As WaPo revealed, “the State Department’s total number of permanent employees, for instance, fell 6.4 percent between Trump’s inauguration and March 2018, according to federal records, while the Education Department declined 9.4 percent during that time.

Part of the drop stems from a government-wide hiring freeze Trump imposed after his inauguration, which lasted nearly three months. The president has continued to press for a leaner federal payroll, asking Congress recently to withhold pay raises for federal workers in 2019.

The Daily Caller reported that deep and significant budget cuts have been coming down since the 2019 budget was proposed back in February –

“Trump requested a working budget of $5.4 billion for the EPA, which constitutes a nearly $2.8 billion decrease from the 2017 enacted level, according to the White House’s budget proposal. He asked Congress to cut the agency’s budget $2 billion in 2017.

The higher cuts were not surprising. Trump’s Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney recently suggested the president would enact even steeper reductions than he did for the 2018 budget.

“You still are going to see some reductions in our proposals to the EPA,” Mulvaney said in an interview Sunday with “Fox News Sunday.” “There’s still going to be the president’s priorities as we seek to spend the money consistently with our priorities, not with the priorities that were reflected most by the Democrats in Congress.”

The budget, which was published Monday morning, also puts “duplicative” programs on the chopping blocks – the Climate Change Research and Partnership Programs; the Indoor Air and Radon Programs; the Marine Pollution and National Estuary Programs, among others are targeted in the request.

Trump and Mulvaney believe nixing these programs will save taxpayers approximately $600 million compared to 2017 enacted levels. The budget cuts represent a substantial departure from former President Barack Obama’s final year.

EPA had more than 15,300 employees and a budget of more than $8.1 billion in 2016. About half of EPA staff work at regional offices across the country, even though more than 90 percent of EPA programs are administered by state agencies.”

White House Just Issued Priceless Response To CNN And Acosta After Lawsuit

Published

Because Fake News CNN and their “actor” Jim Acosta just can’t seem to understand that when you are in a press briefing with the President of the United States you are supposed to show decorum and not make yourself the center of attention or attack interns who are just trying to do their job.

The so-called news network has now taken it upon themselves to sue the White House for using their right to revoke a press pass.

Here is more via Breitbart:

“White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders responded to a lawsuit filed by CNN after Jim Acosta’s press pass was suspended.

“This is just more grandstanding from CNN, and we will vigorously defend against this lawsuit,” Sanders said in a statement to reporters.

Sanders noted that CNN had nearly 50 additional White House reporting, producing, and camera staff who had hard passes and that they could continue to cover the White House without Acosta.

“Mr. Acosta is no more or less special than any other media outlet or reporter with respect to the First Amendment,” she said.

Sanders said that Acosta exhibited multiple instances of inappropriate behavior, more recently refusing to give up the microphone to a White House intern during a press conference.

“The White House cannot run an orderly and fair press conference when a reporter acts this way, which is neither appropriate nor professional,” she said. “The First Amendment is not served when a single reporter, of more than 150 present, attempts to monopolize the floor.”

Sanders added that it was important to punish bad behavior from White House correspondents.

“If there is no check on this type of behavior it impedes the ability of the President, the White House staff, and members of the media to conduct business,” she wrote.

Acosta’s White House press pass is suspended until further notice.”

CNN Refers to Nancy Pelosi As A ‘Bad Ass’ – Realize Big Mistake Too Late

Published

CNN never knows when to quit. They show their true colors day after day. These people are nothing but activists pretending to be journalists. That’s all these people are.

Another reason why their station is failing. You almost have to laugh in order to keep from going insane after reading their propaganda piece. Truly frightening how much they love rich Pelosi. Name one good thing she’s done for the country..CNN?

What’s sickening is to think once she’s out of office..she will be living the life..wealthy as can be. We need to stop allowing these politicians to have a lifetime in politics. All they do is become more and more wealthy.

Lord, help us.

From RedStateWatcher:

CNN is running a series it looks like using the hashtag #BadassWomenDC starting with the most liberal woman Nancy Pelosi. CNN dubs Pelosi the “original Badass Woman of Washington.”

Many on Twitter see this are pure propaganda for the Democrats:

From CNN:

In many ways, Nancy Pelosi is the original Badass Woman of Washington.

There are the obvious reasons, not the least of which is her place in the history books as the first female House speaker.

But it is more than that. It is how she got there — excelling in a man’s world and playing in what was traditionally a boy’s club of politics — as well as, and often better than, her male counterparts.

She’s had plenty of detractors and naysayers, even among Democrats. But she is seen as effective, so much so that even her political opponents — mostly men — have repeatedly told me over the years that they marvel at her leadership of her caucus.

For all the interviews Pelosi does, she doesn’t talk often about her struggles and challenges as a woman. But here, she spoke quite candidly about it all.

“I get some names called, because if you’re effective as a woman, then they have to undermine you, because that’s a real threat,” Pelosi told us in an interview.

“I’m probably more of a target than anybody, except for somebody who runs for president,” she said.

Talk about an understatement. For years Pelosi has been the ultimate Republican boogeyman — or boogeywoman, as it were. She’s a frequent target of Republican ire for being too far to the left — and she’s also a target among progressives for not being far left enough.

Some fellow Democrats are now distancing themselves from Pelosi, promising not to vote for her as House speaker again even though her party has won a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections and shifted the power dynamics in President Donald Trump’s Washington.
So far, no one has emerged to challenge her. And Pelosi is unmoved.

“I have a broad base of support in the country, financially, politically, and otherwise, which is valuable to our caucus,” argued Pelosi.

“None of us is indispensable, but some of us are just better at our jobs than others,” she added matter-of-factly.

She toots her own horn to show women how it’s done

As she was telling me how qualified she is to be House speaker again, it struck me how unusual it is to hear a woman talk so confidently about how uniquely qualified she is for a job or position she is seeking. Though I am no shrinking violet, it is often hard for me to toot my own horn that way, something I admitted in the moment to Pelosi.

“For most women, frankly, myself included, it is hard to say those words, ‘I am uniquely qualified. I deserve this. I earned this. I can do this better than anyone else,'” I told Pelosi.
“You know why I do it? I do it, because I want women to see that you do not get pushed around. You don’t run away from the fight,” she responded. Continue Reading
