Trump Just Stepped In On FBI’s Kavanaugh Investigation – He’s Putting His Foot Down Hard!

Published

on

President Trump has chimed in several times with his opinion on the Judge Kavanaugh nomination process controversy. After the hearings, he praised Judge Kavanaugh for his heated and impassioned response. Now, he has stepped into the investigation in a different way.

As of now, the FBI has not received any new instructions from officials at the White House regarding how to proceed with their week-long investigation into Judge Kavanaugh and the Dr. Christine Blasey Ford sexual assault allegations.

Anonymous sources within the White House have said that after the Saturday night tweet from the president his stance has remained the same. He is fine with the FBI investigating whomever they feel is appropriate. Right now this does not include Julie Swetnik who is the most recent sexual assault accuser against Judge Kavanaugh.

NBC News reported,

Also not on the list, the sources say, are former classmates who have contradicted Kavanaugh’s account of his college alcohol consumption, instead describing him as a frequent, heavy drinker. The FBI is also not authorized to interview high school classmates who could shed light on what some people have called untruths in Kavanaugh’s Senate Judiciary Committee testimony about alleged sexual references in his high school yearbook.

The sources said nothing would preclude the FBI from asking Kavanaugh’s high school friend Mark Judge, who is on the witness list, about Swetnick’s allegations, but the sources stressed that this is not a top priority.

Separately, a White House official made clear that the White House is the client in this process. This is not an FBI criminal investigation — it is a background investigation in which the FBI is acting on behalf of the White House. Procedurally, the White House does not allow the FBI to investigate as it sees fit, the official acknowledged; the White House sets the parameters.

Trump announced on Twitter late Saturday that the White House had placed no limitation on the FBI’s ability to investigate the allegations against Kavanaugh.

“I want them to interview whoever they deem appropriate, at their discretion,” Trump tweeted in response to an NBC News report citing multiple people familiar with the process who said the White House was limiting the scope of the reopened background investigation of Kavanaugh.

While the FBI will examine the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, the bureau had not been permitted to investigate the claims of Julie Swetnick, who has accused Kavanaugh of engaging in sexual misconduct at parties while he was a student at Georgetown Preparatory School in the 1980s, those people familiar with the investigation told NBC News.

A White House official had confirmed earlier Saturday that Swetnick’s claims would not be pursued as part of the reopened background investigation into Kavanaugh. Trump described that as incorrect in a tweet late Saturday. The Wall Street Journal had also reported that Swetnick’s allegations would not be investigated.

Trump said the FBI had “free rein” in the investigation.

“They’re going to do whatever they have to do,” he said. “Whatever it is they do, they’ll be doing—things that we never even thought of. And hopefully at the conclusion everything will be fine.”

The New York Times reported Saturday night, after Trump’s tweet, that the White House has authorized the FBI to interview four witnesses: Judge; Leland Keyser, a high school friend of Ford’s whom she said attended the party but was not told of the assault; P.J. Smyth, another party guest; and Ramirez, the Yale accuser.

Ford said in Senate testimony Thursday that she was “100 percent” certain that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were both in high school. Ramirez alleged that he exposed himself to her when there were students at Yale. Kavanaugh has staunchly denied allegations from Ford, Ramirez and Swetnick.

Instead of investigating Swetnick’s claims, the White House counsel’s office has given the FBI a list of witnesses they are permitted to interview, according to several people who discussed the parameters on the condition of anonymity. They characterized the White House instructions as a significant constraint on the FBI investigation and caution that such a limited scope, while not unusual in normal circumstances, may make it difficult to pursue additional leads in a case in which a Supreme Court nominee has been accused of sexual assault.

The limited scope seems to be at odds with what some members of the Senate judiciary seemed to expect when they agreed to give the FBI as much as a week to investigate allegations against Kavanaugh, a federal judge who grew up in the Washington DC area and attended an elite all-boys high school before going on to Yale.

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the FBI has “free rein” in the investigation. “They’re going to do whatever they have to do,” he said. “Whatever it is they do, they’ll be doing — things that we never even thought of. And hopefully at the conclusion everything will be fine.”

The president also said he thinks Flake’s role in delaying the vote is fine. “Actually this could be a blessing in disguise,” Trump continued. “Because having the FBI go out, do a thorough investigation, whether its three days or seven days, I think it’s going to be less than a week. But having them do a thorough investigation, I actually think will be a blessing in disguise. It’ll be a good thing.”

“I don’t need a backup plan,” Trump said, adding that he thinks Kavanaugh is “going to be fine.”

Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., said Saturday that he supports the week-long scope of the investigation. “The FBI works at the direction of the White House in investigating the background of an administration nominee like Judge Kavanaugh,” he told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes at Global Citizen Festival in New York. “So it’s the White House Counsel or the president who says, ‘This is the scope of the further investigation.'”

Senator Jeff Flake who is from Arizona, and a well-known flip-voter, came in at the 11th hour and indicates that he wanted an FBI investigation completed before a vote takes place on the Senate Floor. His Democratic colleague Senator Whitehouse indicated he wanted an investigation to include adequate staffing as well as rapid immunity and subpoena decisions.

Libs WILL NOT Like What Trump Could Soon Do That’s WAY BIGGER Than The Border Wall

Americans need to come first. I hope President Trump puts an end to all of this. Bring back jobs to this country.

Quite disturbing to know our private data is going oversees. Yes to the virtual wall!

From Breitbart:

Attorney Sara Blackwell — who represents American workers who are having their jobs threatened by outsourcing — says President Trump can implement a “virtual wall” to end multinational corporations’ business model of offshoring U.S. jobs to foreign countries.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Amanda House on SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Sunday, Blackwell said the U.S. needs a policy that bans multinational corporations from sending Americans’ data overseas.

Such a policy, Blackwell says, would consequently end the offshoring of American jobs and bring jobs back to the country that were previously outsourced.

“If we put up a virtual wall around our borders and said, ‘None of our private data can go overseas, ever,’ all of those jobs would have to come back, they would all have to come back,” Blackwell said.

“And so we would have so many jobs back in the U.S. and not only that, if we wanted to do … if a company in Europe wanted to sell clothes to someone in America, they’d have to have an office here in the U.S. because our credit card information can’t go overseas. So we would add so many jobs to the United States,” Blackwell said.

“I think a virtual wall would be an amazing thing and would be the ticket to ending the whole business model,” Blackwell continued.

The outsourcing-offshoring business model used by multinational corporations begins by laying off American workers in high-paying, white-collar industries and forcing them to train their foreign replacements, who often arrive in the U.S. on the H-1B visa. Those H-1B visa workers generally work in the country for about a year until the job is moved overseas to developing countries like India, where foreign workers are cheaper.

Blackwell also called out IBM CEO Ginni Rometty — a multinational corporation that now employs more Indian nationals than American workers — for hiking her own salary while laying off thousands of Americans to send their jobs to India.

“IBM is one of the worst offshoring companies I’ve seen. And Ginni Rometty of IBM, she is friends with Ivanka Trump,” Blackwell said.

“I mean it’s like, can we please just everybody pay attention to what’s really happening? I have spoken to thousands of IBM workers who have been fired — not only in the U.S. but all over the world — because they don’t want to pay real wages,” Blackwell said.

“They want to go to these countries like the Phillippines and India, mostly India, to pay these slave wages,” Blackwell said. “And it is very scary what information is going over there.”

This 200 year old woman needs to be investigated and thrown in a prison cell to rot for the rest of her criminal life. This evil woman is worth millions of dollars. She is another despicable democrat that needs to be voted out.

It’s important we WIN all the way in November. Destroy these people!

From The Gateway Pundit:

Vote red all the way down the ballot this midterm.

The Democrat party is an unhinged, lawless, violent mob.

Ranking member of the Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said Wednesday that if the Democrats take control of the Senate this midterm election, she will reopen the sexual misconduct investigation into Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Fox News reported:

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said Wednesday that if Democrats took control of the Senate following November’s midterm elections, she would be in favor of reopening an investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations levelled against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“I’d be in favor of opening an investigation into the allegations,” Feinstein, the ranking minority member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said during a debate in San Francisco with her challenger, state Sen. Kevin de León. A fellow Democrat, de León emerged from California’s hectic jungle primary system to challenge one of the Senate’s longest tenured members for her seat.

Dianne Feinstein turned Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court into a circus after she purposely held onto Christine Ford’s letter alleging Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a drunken high school party decades ago.

Someone from Feinstein’s office presumably leaked Ford’s letter to the media–when Feinstein was asked point blank if her staffers leaked Ford’s letter, she stuttered as she denied leaking.

Christine Ford made a shocking revelation during the hearing–she said she didn’t know she had the option to quietly speak to the Judiciary Committee about her sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.

Ford’s lawyers kept this information from her in order to prompt a public hearing.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) said last month on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” that Feinstein’s office will be investigated over the leaked letter.

Senator Cotton also said that the lawyers recommended by the Democrats to Christine Ford will face a Washington D.C. bar investigation for telling her the Committee wouldn’t travel to California to interview her privately.

Vote red down the line–God help us if these violent, lawless Democrats ever gain power again.
