The concept of private property is a material component in remaining a free people, as is a free economy. Both concepts are intrinsically woven into the very fabric of the foundation of this nation. The ownership of private property allows an individual economic independence, freeing the body and mind from being forced into dependence on others for shelter and sustenance. It does not guarantee it but allows the opportunity to achieve it.
Neither liberty nor the pursuit of happiness are secure without the right to acquire and hold property. Property rights and human rights are inseparable. Alexander Hamilton once stated, “Power over a man’s subsistence is power over his will.” Leon Trotsky, the Communist, put it more brutally: “In a country where the sole employer is the State, opposition means death by slow starvation. The old principle, who does not work shall not eat, has been replaced by a new one, who does not obey shall not eat.”
Simply put, whoever controls the means of the existence of a people, be it by monopolistic coercion through private individuals, or through government sanctioned confiscation of property, has the power of life and death. Yet, America is now revisiting this very foundational principle.
Americans saw the beginnings of this back when Al Gore was still serving as a Senator from Tennessee. During that time he represented the United States at a United Nations earth summit on his pet topic of “global warming.” That summit saw 25 resolutions presented by the UN. One particular resolution gave the UN environmental police force the ability and authority to cross any border, as well as dictate to any nation in the event of any “alleged” environmental crisis. Yet another resolution called for the entirety of all land in the world to be placed under the jurisdiction of the United Nations. This would effectively allow the UN complete and final authority to determine who got to live where, and with what resources. It would have eliminated private property ownership globally.
Gore signed his approval on every single resolution as the official representative of the United States. Fortunately for America, not enough other nations signed many of the resolutions being presented including the two previously mentioned. They did not receive enough signatures to pass…YET.
It is an effective demonstration however of just how dangerous to the concept of liberty and freedom, to life as we know it this concept of global warming, global cooling, climate change or whatever additional incarnation they go through to pursue, truly is.
From leftist factions, we have been hearing for the past 3 years Sen. Bernie Sanders advocating for “free” Medicare for all. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York is advocating for the same. Despite the fact it would double the national budget and cost American taxpayers an additional $25,000 in taxes on an individual level. There is no such thing as “free” as medical care costs money and that money comes from somewhere be that from taxes you are forced to pay, or on a voluntary basis.
Many also consider that other countries have tried such a system and it has failed on many levels. Just look to the United Kingdom and ask the parents of little Charlie Gard or the parents of little Alfie Evans. Both sets of parents were denied the ability to seek treatment elsewhere outside the country at their own personal expense. Both children died because the state did not deem them worthy of saving. This is Eugenics and this is what happens when the government decides who lives and who dies.
Both Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are admitted socialists advocating for government control of virtually every aspect of life including businesses. Socialism is essentially chattel slavery and it is what our founding fathers fled from Europe to get away from. Yet here we are, yet again fighting for those very foundational principles.
And entering the fight with Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez to overthrow all that Americans hold dear with regards to freedom and liberty is Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA-D).
The National Review reports –
“Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has one-upped socialists Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: She proposes to nationalize every major business in the United States of America. If successful, it would constitute the largest seizure of private property in human history.”
“Warren’s proposal is dishonestly called the ‘Accountable Capitalism Act.’ Accountable to whom? you might ask. That’s a reasonable question. The answer is — as it always is — accountable to politicians, who desire to put the assets and productivity of private businesses under political discipline for their own selfish ends. It is remarkable that people who are most keenly attuned to the self-interest of CEOs and shareholders and the ways in which that self-interest influences their decisions apparently believe that members of the House, senators, presidents, regulators, Cabinet secretaries and agency chiefs somehow are liberated from self-interest when they take office through some kind of miracle of transcendence.”
“Under Senator Warren’s proposal, no business with more than $1 billion in revenue would be permitted to legally operate without permission from the federal government. The federal government would then dictate to these businesses the composition of their boards, the details of internal corporate governance, compensation practices, personnel policies, and much more. Naturally, their political activities would be restricted, too. Senator Warren’s proposal entails the wholesale expropriation of private enterprise in the United States, and nothing less. It is unconstitutional, unethical, immoral, irresponsible, and — not to put too fine a point on it — utterly bonkers.”
Warren is positioning herself to put her own hat in the ring for a 2020 bid for the White House presidential race against incumbent and current President Donald Trump. Perhaps you believe she does not have a chance of winning? Consider if you will that in March of 2017 a survey showed an astounding 44% of millennials actually prefer socialism over capitalism. Consider also the state of today’s public school system where school children that have never experienced the horrors of socialism are being convinced that it is preferable because it simply means “being a good person.”
A real understanding of liberty, freedom, private property and frankly the difference between the government confiscating money from you to give to someone else, and charitable giving. We as the American people have lost our way and have traded in liberty for security in exponential amounts, falling for the lie that more government is the answer for any problem that ails us, aided by the likes of Warren, Sanders, and Ocasio-Cortez. The trend can be reversed and it must be if we are to get out of the giant mess we are in.
President Trump Preparing To Fire Obama’s Top Swamp Slug
President Trump is on a tear these days to weed out those in the swamp who should have been removed long ago. He has plenty of slugs to choose from. The place is literally filled with them. I still contend they should have been vetted and purged from the various agencies from the very beginning. But here we are.
Trump has been asking since last month why Justice Department official Bruce Ohr still has a job. He’s definitely getting ready to fire Obama’s top swamp slug.
The president asked, “how the hell” he is still employed after he testified on Capitol Hill about his relationship with former British spy Christopher Steele and his ties to the now infamous anti-Trump dossier. That’s a very good question and I think we’d all like an answer to it.
“How the hell is Bruce Ohr still employed at the Justice Department?” Trump tweeted. “Disgraceful! Witch Hunt!” Truer words were never spoken in my opinion.
From Fox News in August:
“Republicans allege that Ohr played a key role in selling the so-called Steele dossier, commissioned by the opposition research firm Fusion GPS and paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Ohr was grilled over his involvement behind closed doors on Tuesday by the House Oversight and Judiciary committees
“Messages indicate Ohr continued to communicate with dossier author Steele after the FBI fired him as a source in late 2016 due to his contacts with the media.
“I don’t know if it’s improper but I want to know who at DOJ knew and it certainly looks like he continued to meet with Mr. Steele after the FBI had terminated their relationship with Mr. Steele,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told Fox News ahead of the Tuesday meeting.
“Ohr’s wife Nellie worked at Fusion as a Russian specialist and did research that formed part of the dossier.
“Ohr, who joined the Justice Department in 1991 and eventually was named the associate deputy attorney general before being demoted amid the investigation into his meetings with Steele, did not reply to questions shouted by reporters before his hearing on Tuesday.
“At least seven Republican House members traveled to Washington over the August recess for the interview. No Democratic lawmakers appeared to attend, though staff were in the room.
“Democrats say the entire GOP investigation is an attempt to undermine Special Counsel Robert Mueller. They have criticized the Republicans’ focus on Ohr as overblown and misleading.
“With Paul Manafort in jail, Michael Cohen in court, and a host of longtime Trump confidants cooperating with federal prosecutors, we can understand why Republicans are increasingly desperate to create a distraction and undermine the Department of Justice as a hedge against what the investigators may find,” Reps. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., and Elijah E. Cummings, D-Md., said Wednesday in a joint statement.
“The two lawmakers added: “Mr. Ohr has already been forced to endure President Trump’s baseless Twitter attacks. Yesterday’s interview was merely a doubling down of that strategy.” Nadler and Cummings serve as ranking members on the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees respectively.”

Trump had previously gone after Ohr and said that it was a “disgrace” for Ohr to be in the Justice Department and added that he suspects he’ll “very quickly” revoke his security clearance.
That tweet, combined with his revoking of the security clearance for former CIA Director John Brennan, has drawn strong criticism from a number of people in the intelligence community and raised questions of whether Trump may be obstructing the Mueller investigation.
Trump wants Ohr fired over the Russia investigation and he’s also taking swipes at Attorney General Jeff Sessions over it. “Will Bruce Ohr, whose family received big money for helping to create the phony, dirty and discredited Dossier, ever be fired from the Jeff Sessions ‘Justice’ Department? A total joke!” Trump tweeted. Hard to argue with that sentiment.

If Ohr has his security clearance revoked, he will be instantly severely hampered in doing his job. Which makes the argument that he should just be fired as President Trump wants.
Ohr was demoted late last year after it was revealed he had contacts with Christopher Steele who authored the Russia dossier. Ohr’s wife, Nellie, also worked for Fusion GPS during the campaign. Trump and other Republicans have used those ties to argue the special counsel’s Russia probe is tainted by bias.
“‘Bruce Ohr is at the center of FALSE ALLEGATIONS which led to a multi-million dollar investigation into what apparently didn’t happen.’ Darrell Issa, House Oversight. We can take out the word ‘apparently,'” Trump said in another tweet, citing the Republican congressman’s comments on Fox News.
Trump is right to call for removing Ohr. I’m just sad it wasn’t done much, much sooner.

Trump Just Nailed Kavanaugh Accuser To The Wall With Blunt Sudden Announcement
Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been in a whirlwind of controversy since a few weeks ago. Ever since an accuser came out and said she was sexually assaulted by him the process has been in turmoil. Now, President Trump has made an announcement regarding Judge Kavanaugh and it is going to nail Kavanaugh’s accuser to the wall.
The New York Times reported,
“After a tense night of legal brinkmanship, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee late Friday told lawyers for the woman who has accused Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh of sexual assault that they can have until 2:30 p.m. Saturday to negotiate the terms of their client’s testimony before the panel next week.
The chairman, Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa, made his announcement on Twitter shortly before midnight, after lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford sent an angry email accusing his staff of bullying their client. He directed his tweet to Judge Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, who has flatly denied the assault and has said he is eager to testify to clear his name.
I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 21, 2018
“Judge Kavanaugh I just granted another extension to Dr Ford to decide if she wants to proceed w the statement she made last week to testify to the senate,” Mr. Grassley wrote, using Twitter shorthand. “She shld decide so we can move on I want to hear her. I hope u understand. It’s not my normal approach to b indecisive.”
In an email to the lawyers, aides to Mr. Grassley said that they “absolutely must hear by 2:30 p.m.” that Dr. Blasey — who also goes by her married name, Ford — has agreed to their terms for testifying. It was not clear precisely what those terms were.
The late-night missives were the latest twist in a legal tango that has riveted Washington, with a lifetime appointment to the nation’s highest court hanging in the balance. The back-and-forth has also infuriated Mr. Trump, who lashed out on Friday at Dr. Blasey on Twitter, saying that if the attack “was as bad as she says,” she or her parents would have reported it to the authorities when it happened more than 30 years ago.
The comment was Mr. Trump’s first direct attack on Dr. Blasey, 51, a research psychologist in Northern California who has accused Judge Kavanaugh of pinning her to a bed, grinding his body against her and muffling her screams at a party when they were teenagers in the early 1980s. She has said that she is willing to testify publicly, though not on Monday, the date Mr. Grassley had scheduled a hearing.
Throughout the day on Friday, Dr. Blasey’s lawyers and Senate Judiciary Committee aides tried to work out details like how many photographers and television cameras would be in the room (Dr. Blasey, fearful of being mobbed by the news media, wanted one of each); who would ask the questions (Republicans wanted an outside lawyer, Dr. Blasey favored senators); and what day the session would take place (Dr. Blasey asked for Thursday, Republicans wanted Wednesday).
But as the workday drew to a close, Mr. Grassley announced that the judiciary panel would vote on Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation on Monday morning unless negotiators reached an agreement by 10 p.m. Friday. One of Dr. Blasey’s lawyers, Debra S. Katz, responded a few hours later with a blistering email, accusing Mr. Grassley’s aides of pressuring her client “to agree to conditions you find advantageous to the nominee,” and of imposing “aggressive and artificial deadlines” whose “sole purpose is to bully Dr. Ford.”
Ms. Katz asked for an additional day to negotiate, and in the end, Mr. Grassley acquiesced.
But he did not seem happy about it. In a follow-up tweet sent after the one directed to Judge Kavanaugh, Mr. Grassley wrote: “With all the extensions we give Dr Ford to decide if she still wants to testify to the Senate I feel like I’m playing 2nd trombone in the judiciary orchestra and Schumer is the conductor.” He was referring to Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Democratic leader.
Dr. Blasey’s allegations, which for weeks had been kept secret by the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, have knocked the White House and its conservative allies — who fear that their chance to remake the court is slipping away — on their heels.
In a bizarre turn, one of those allies, the conservative legal analyst Edward Whelan, posted pictures on Twitter on Thursday night of a high school classmate of Judge Kavanaugh’s — with the man’s name — and suggested that the man was responsible for the assault. On Friday, facing condemnation from liberals and conservatives alike, Mr. Whelan apologized.
In his tweet on Friday, Mr. Trump called on Dr. Blasey to produce contemporaneous law enforcement reports “so that we can learn date, time, and place!” Dr. Blasey, who was around 15 at the time of the assault, has said publicly that she did not report it to the authorities, and that she does not recall exactly when it took place. Experts say many women are reluctant to come forward and report sexual assaults, in part because they fear they will not be believed.
Mr. Trump’s broadside outraged many women, some of whom took to social media and the news media to reveal their own stories of long-ago sexual assaults. Patti Davis, the daughter of President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy, wrote an opinion article for The Washington Post revealing that she was raped about 40 years ago, and like Dr. Blasey, is hazy on the details.
As a result of the controversy, hundreds of women went to social media to share their stories of sexual assault. One, in particular, is former First Daughter Patti Davis, who was the daughter of President Reagan. She wrote an opinion article for the Washington Post about the alleged incident where she revealed she was raped 40 years ago, and like the Kavanaugh accuser, does not remember a lot about the details of the night.
President Trump went to Twitter however when he went to Twitter to discuss the investigation there were allegations he did so against the advice of his aides. The risk was that President Trump could come off as a bully, which could potentially make the bitter visions between both parties worse.
Until Friday, President Trump was largely leaving the investigation to the Senate Judiciary Committee to handle the sexual assault accusations. There are rumors that he was being repeatedly reminded by his legislative aides how important it was for Congress to get Judge Kavanaugh confirmed on the Supreme Court.
